ASUS Maximus IV Extreme B3 Revision Review

Nexus Silent Mouse Review
TechwareLabs posted a review on the Nexus Silent Mouse

There are lot of things to consider when buying a new mouse. Most look at comfort first. Others will look at DPI and polling and all sorts of fancy gaming stuff. But have you ever considered noise? Well the guys over at Nexus have. Here we have the Nexus Silent Mouse. It's silent. As in no clicking sound. The idea is that professionals and noise haters can work in piece and quiet without that obnoxious clicking sound to distract them (they specifically mention TV and Music studios). If silence is what you're after read on for a more in depth look at the Nexus Silent Mouse.

Razer Anansi MMO Keyboard Review
HardwareHeaven.com posted a review on the Razer Anansi MMO Keyboard

With Razer's great success in the MMO market thanks to the Naga mouse it was only a matter of time before Razer started to look at other products which could appeal to consumers who want to maximise their MMO experience and one of those is the new Anansi keyboard which we have on our test bench today.

Canon PowerShot ELPH 300 HS Review
TechReviewSource.com posted a review on the Canon PowerShot ELPH 300 HS

The Canon PowerShot ELPH 300 HS offers speed, low-light performance, and ease of use that few, if any, phone cameras can match. The 300 HS packs a lot of features into a small body, with good performance on all fronts and specs a step above many entry-level pocket cameras. Overall, it's a solid, simple, and affordable digital camera.

Sentey Optimus GS-6000 Mid Tower Chassis Review
TweakTown posted a review on the Sentey Optimus GS-6000 Mid Tower Chassis

When I think "budget friendly" in chassis design, I think of most of the cases offered currently under $60. What I do tend to find are cases that may look good, but then they lack installed fans, tool-lees features, or both. Of course, the other option is to get an ugly "box" that has more fans, but lacks in appeal and likely will end up under the desk or buried behind other things over time. It is a rare occasion that you can get good looks, loads of cooling, tool-less features, and a few other options to coincide with the term "budget friendly".

ASUS EAH6870 1GB Video Card Review
ITShootOut.com have just released a review of the ASUS EAH6870 1GB Video Card.

The Radeon HD 6870, contrary to its somewhat confusing name, is not the successor to the Radeon 5870. Instead, it acts as an almost direct replacement for the Radeon 5850, both in terms of performance and in price. Today we are looking at the Asus variant which has some exclusive features including the Voltage Tweak functionality we have come to particularly enjoy when overclocking.

MSI N550GTX-Ti Cyclone II OC Video Card Review
Legit Reviews posted a review on the MSI N550GTX-Ti Cyclone II OC Video Card

The MSI N550GTX-Ti Cyclone II OC 1GB graphics cards is based on the NVIDIA Geforce GTX 550 Ti GPU, but is kept nice and cool with the MSI Cyclone II cooling solution. The N550GTX-Ti Cyclone II OC is factory overclocked with the core clock set to 950MHz and the memory at 1075MHz. We put this overclocked GF116 card to the test to see how it performs, keeps cool and overclocks!

Intel Core i5-2520QM and The Asus K53E 15-inch Notebook
HotHardware posted a review on the Intel Core i5-2520QM and The Asus K53E 15-inch Notebook

With their Sandy Bridge wrinkles firmly tucked away, Intel is continuing to flesh out their mobile offering with a new, more moderately priced dual-core CPU that brings all of their latest technologies to bear in a 2.53GHz chip called the Core i5-2520QM. With Turbo Boost technology available for busts of performance on demand, this four-thread capable CPU should be a popular configuration in the midrange class of multimedia notebooks.

Zalman CNPS11X Extreme CPU Cooler Review
Tweaknews posted a review on the Zalman CNPS11X Extreme CPU Cooler

Zalman really has it going on with the new 11X Extreme. The five composite heatpipes and the innovative design allow its fan to provide some excellent cooling with very reasonable acoustics. Really, the only complaint I have about the 11X is the mounting solutions. While the cooler is very secure with this mounting scheme, I miss the ease with which most previous Zalman coolers could be installed, even inside the case.

Corsair Hydro Series H60 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler Review
TweakTown posted a review on the Corsair Hydro Series H60 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler

In the short time all-in-one water coolers have been on the market, it has been basically two styles to choose from. One with a large, round bulky head, and what I think is a weak mounting system, or the other variant which offers a much better mounting setup, similar results, but usually demands a higher price upon purchase. There wasn't, up until now, any way around this. You had to make that choice and live with your decision. Why can't we just get the best of both worlds?

Corsair says we can! They are now offering a reworked version of the all-in-one coolers we have already seen, the H50 and H70 from the Hydro series. Now imagine this. Take the low profile nature of the H70 head unit, redesign it a bit and make it very low-profile, and entirely redesign the mounting hardware. This newer version keeps the corrugated plastic covered rubber hoses of the previous two units. The radiator of choice for this newer reincarnation is the thinner model from the H50.

Intel P67 Sandy Bridge Round Up – ASUS P8P67 EVO, ECS P67H2-A2, GIGABYTE GA-P67A-UD4, MSI P67A-GD65 & Intel DP67DG Burrage Extreme
Futurelooks rounds up a bunch of P67 Sandy Bridge boards at the $200 price point...

With INTEL’s Cougar Point P67/H67 Chipset issue out of the way, people can now decide which board to get again. Today, we have a nice mix of mainstream Sandy Bridge boards and I’m happy to report that for the most part, they have been a pleasure to work with over the last few weeks. In this round up, we’re testing several of the best price/performance P67 motherboards. We’re giving them a very thorough and scrutinized beating so that you know what to expect and help you decide what to choose when you make the switch.

Seagate GoFlex 1TB External Drive for Mac Review
Bigbruin.com posted a review on the Seagate GoFlex 1TB External Drive for Mac

Once again, we are quite pleased with the overall performance of a Seagate GoFlex product. Seagate is clearly hoping the GoFlex for Mac will fill one of the only real voids left in the GoFlex lineup, and at the same time provide a product targeted directly at Mac users. While their other products do work with OS X out of the box, the others are not optimized for the Mac platform.

MSI HD 6950 Twin Frozr II Review: Cool, Quiet, and somewhat Beastly
PC Perspective posted a review on the MSI HD 6950 Twin Frozr II

MSI hits the scene with their own version of the AMD HD 6950. This features the Twin Frozr II cooling solution and has a price point slightly above where most reference HD 6950s sit. When combined with MSI's Afterburner software, this card becomes an interesting tool in a gamer's arsenal. We find out how it runs when combined with the Catalyst 11.4 Preview Driver, which delivers some significant improvements in performance for the Cayman family of chips.

Personally I like the card. I was disappointed I could not mod it successfully to a HD 6970, but even in stock form the card is not slow. I am doing some “long term” testing on this particular model in my main machine, clocked at a much more mundane 900 MHz core and 1350 MHz memory. This has provided a nice performance boost, all the while producing less sound than the more aggressive overclock I did while testing. So far the card has worked flawlessly at this speed, and it has handled every application I have thrown at it with aplomb.
