Trusted Reviews have looked at the Pentax Optio M30

Announced in January along with the more sophisticated T30 a
nd the AA-powered E30, the M30 is a mid-level 7.1-megapixel ultra-compact with a 3x zoom lens, a 2.5-in 115k pixel monitor screen and a maximum sensitivity of 3200 ISO. Affordable pocket compacts have always been something of a Pentax speciality, so although it has a list price of £149 the M30 is available from several online retailers for under £125

MaXit posted Asus Striker 680i Motherboard Review

The Asus Striker Extreme motherboard is one of the first non-reference 680i motherboards. While many manufacturers were quick to launch their 680i motherboards, Asus took their time and built their own solution from the ground up. Is it any good? Let's find out.

PureOverclock posted a review on the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro

The first cooler to grace our new review outline is the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro. It's been around a while but it still has a great deal to offer. For starters, it's cheap (=A316 at time of writing), which means it's a no brainer - if it performs admirably you have no choice but to get one!

XYZ Computing posted Logitech NuLOOQ Navigator Review

Looking at the NuLOOQ Navigator it may not be immediately clear what its purpose is, but as with similar looking items, like the Griffin PowerMate or the 3Dconnexion SpaceNavigator and SpaceTraveler, it is meant to complement your mouse. The device is used by your non-dominant hand in order to augment your controls- it does not replace a keyboard or mouse, but is used in conjunction with them in order to do things that a mouse alone cannot do efficiently or at all. As seen with the 3Dconnexion equipment, this type of device lends itself best to complex applications, like Adobe's Creative Suite (and the target buyers are creative professionals), but it is configurable so that it can be used under all sorts of different circumstances.

Metku.net posted a new Z-5500 5.1 speaker set modding article

I was thinking of a new project; what to mod or build next after finishing the Embryo Zero case. I searched through the Internet to see what has already been done, and I realized that good worklogs about computer speaker modding do not exist. Logitech kindly supplied me with z-5500 5.1 system as a basis for this project. I think they look ok as stock, but I'm trying to transform them to look more expensive and not so "computer related". I think speakers should be made out of wood, and they should display the material used and not cover it with thick layer of paint.

Neoseeker has published a review of G.Skill's PC2-6400 2GB F2-6400CL4D kit.

The G.Skill PC6400 modules ended up running at up to 975MHz at 4-4-4-12 timing - that is 175MHz above the rated 800MHz speed; a 21.9% increase in raw memory clock rate. We have seen higher memory speeds, but it is still fairly impressive to see a PC6400 module reach PC7800 speeds.

In order to reach 975-4-4-4-12 stably, I had to increase the memory voltage to 2.35V. The modules were quite warm, but they were not too hot to touch, however even increasing the memory voltage to 2.4V did not get them stable at 1000MHz. I was using a 1.45Vcore, 1.65 Northbridge, 1.45 FSB voltage setting.

I4U NEWS reviews the XFX GeForce 7600 GT Fatal1ty Graphics Card

The 7600 GT Fatal1ty graphics card has a core clock speed of 650MHz and a memory clock of 1.6GHz. What is very impressive is that while the clock speeds are significantly overclocked the 7600 GT Fatal1ty graphics card is passively cooled. That's right; this card uses no fans and still reaches impressive levels of performance.

OCIA.net takes a look at the Western Digital 320GB USB/FireWire My Book in their latest review

Right away it's clear to see where the name of the product comes from - it looks like a book! The front of the My Book has two clear rings. The inner ring is lit with a blue LED to show the remaining free space on the drive. The outer ring also has a blue LED and acts as an activity light, flashing when data is copied to or from the My Book. A button lies in the center of the inner ring and is used to turn the drive on/off. Each side of the My Book has a Western Digital logo in the center.

Howtoforge published a new guide about harding PHP5 with Suhosin

This tutorial shows how to harden PHP5 with Suhosin on Debian Etch and Ubuntu servers. Suhosin is an advanced protection system for PHP installations that was designed to protect servers and users from known and unknown flaws in PHP applications and the PHP core. Suhosin comes in two independent parts, that can be used separately or in combination. The first part is a small patch against the PHP core, that implements a few low-level protections against bufferoverflows or format string vulnerabilities and the second part is a powerful PHP extension that implements all the other protections.
