Cooler Master CM 690 II Advanced Review
DV Hardware has published a review of a new mid-tower case from Cooler Master.

Earlier this year Cooler Master introduced the CM 690 II series at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. This new lineup succeeds the roughly 2.5 years old CM 690, which was a popular mid tower case due to its high bang-per-buck ratio. Just like the original CM 690 the new model features a mesh design for plenty of ventilation, but now with an all-black interior, more room, support for enthusiast-class cooling solutions and various other improvements.

Gigabyte P55A-UD6 Motherboard Review
iXBT Labs posted a review on the Gigabyte P55A-UD6 Motherboard

The new motherboard series from Gigabyte is a good example of the splendours and miseries of the P55 chipset. On the one hand, LGA1156 is a decent general-purpose platform. On the other hand, any effort to make anything original out of it results in compromises. However, solving issues like that is a good chance for motherboard makers to show what they are capable of.

CoolIT ECO A.L.C CPU Cooler Review
Vortez.co.uk posted a review on the CoolIT ECO A.L.C CPU Cooler

All contained liquid cooling systems have been all the rage lately thanks to their cooling potential, ease of installation, size and cost. With the competition growing in this market, CoolIT are back to show the world that they are still the pioneers of this technology and as such have released the ECO A.L.C. Their previous Domino A.L.C solution showed that CoolIT were innovators in their field but performance was somewhat lacking in our own review given the power hungry i7 920. The ECO is aimed at rectifying this problem, while delivering the solution at a lower cost.

With the traditional heatsink design becoming ever bigger to increase efficiency, an All Liquid Cooling (A.L.C) solution is growingly appealing to users who want the benefits of liquid cooling accommodated in a smaller space, without the hassle of a custom setup. Of course, a custom water cooling setup will no doubt be better but CoolIT are pitting their solution against similarly priced air cooling solutions instead. The likes of Noctua and Thermalright have set a high benchmark so it will be interesting to see how the ECO fares in this highly competitive market.

Samsung B2430: A Massive Monitor
InsideHW.com has reviewed Samsung B2430 monitor

The largest representative of Samsung’s new series of economic models offers little new as far as its design goes, but certainly can’t be deemed obsolete either. Glossy black plastic, with a transparent accent on the lower side of the screen frame, appears to be the current trend. The screen frame could certainly be narrower, but that comes down to each user’s taste anyway. Touch-responsive buttons help maintain the clean, rounded lines and enable easy adjustment via the logically organized OSD menu. A swivel-less base and the impossibility of tilting the screen towards the user past the 90 degree point relative to the surface the monitor is placed on may be counted as flaws…

Lenovo ThinkPad X100e Ultraportable Review
HotHardware.com posted a review on the Lenovo ThinkPad X100e Ultraportable

Lenovo made more noise at the Consumer Electronics Show in January than any other notebook maker, and while we have since been able to test out a few of the company's newest machines, the curious X100e had thus far eluded us.

We just reviewed our sample of the smallest ThinkPad ever (that actually looks like a ThinkPad), and with Lenovo claiming that this is the company's "first professional-grade ultraportable laptop starting below $500," we knew the stakes were high.

ThinkPad loyalists may be some of the most picky in all of the notebook world, and many don't take kindly to tweaks and overhauls of their favorite portable PCs. Lenovo was really going out on a limb with the X100e, as the 11.6" display and sub-$500 start point was obviously out of character for a ThinkPad. We know the ThinkPad Edge family has already branched out, but those machines were still of their own blood. There's no mistaking that the X100e is yet another member of the "classic" ThinkPad line; from the blocked edges to the red trackpoint nub to the matte black finish, it really looks like a shrunken ThinkPad at first glance...

Gelid Tranquillo Heatsink Review
FrostyTech posted a review on the Gelid Tranquillo Heatsink

The Gelid Tranquillo heatsink stands 153mm tall and ships with a single 120mm PWM fan mounted. The tower-style heatsink weighs 645 grams and is compatible with Intel socket 775/1156/1366 and AMD socket 754/939/940/AM2+/AM3 processors.

While you might expect the Tranquillo to be an exposed base heatpipe heatsink, it is not. Instead the four copper heatpipes are grouped closely at the base on a small copper heatspreader, and also grouped relatively closely to one another where they pass through raw aluminum cooling fins.

Coolit ECO A.L.C. Review
OCC has published a review on the Coolit ECO A.L.C.

The one downside I saw with this cooler is much the same thing you find with every other water cooled system on the market, be it a multiple loop custom setup or a pre-built kit. The chipset is cooled by airflow from the heat sink when using an air cooled solution. With a liquid cooled setup you don't have the luxury of airflow over the chipset, so it in turn heats up. With a custom loop you can install a water block on the chipset to solve this problem.

Cooler Master GX 750W power supply review
Elite Bastards posted Cooler Master GX 750W power supply review

There can be little doubt what product range this PSU belongs to, or its wattage for that matter, with both of these items shouting out in no uncertain terms from the front of the packaging. That aside, we can also see from here that the GX 750W enjoys a five-year warranty, SLI multi-GPU certification and an 80 Plus certificate, with Cooler Master boasting 85% efficiency for this unit.

The rear of the box runs through the details of the power supply's specification for your perusal, perhaps most importantly its provision of a single +12V rail to help it handle those multi-GPU situations amongst other things.

GeIL EVO ONE Hexa-channel 12GB DDR3 Kit Review
Vortez.co.uk posted a review on the GeIL EVO ONE Hexa-channel 12GB DDR3 Kit

I've had previous experience of using GeIL memory, but this was back in the DDR1/2 days. Brands like Corsair and OCZ seem to dominate the European market and smaller brands such as GeIL aren't given as much coverage which is a shame, because if you take a look at the GeIL website they have an abundance of memory products and multiple awards.

I had the pleasure of recently checking their booth out at CeBIT and the memory being showcased looked impressive. In particular I was excited to get some of the EVO ONE modules into the test rig and see how it performs. Today the GeIL DDR3 EVO ONE Hexa-channel kit is under the spotlight, if you haven't heard of hexa-channel before its simply triple channel x2.

The DDR3 EVO ONE modules are specifically designed for the X58/Intel Core i7 platform. The kits come available in C7, C8 and C9 latencies, giving plenty of choice but what I like above all things is that this kit comes with the DBT stamp on it. Signifying that these modules have had the die-hard burn-in reliability tests performed on them. Something which I briefly mentioned in the GeIL CeBIT article earlier last month.
