Tweaknews.net posted Nexus NX-8060 80PLUS Modular Silent 600Watt Power Supply Review

I have planned and built systems ranging from media centers all the way through to highly advanced application specific servers and in so doing have come into contact with more different types and brands of PSU you than you can shake a stick at. The NX-8060 is one of the best PSUs in its class that I have had the pleasure of using. The price tag is not through the roof for this specification PSU and the performance is excellent.

Benchmark Reviews posted a review on the Logitech QuickCam Ultra Vision SE Webcam

Just as early as the VideoPhone was breathing its last breath, the webcam was making headlines. Of course, those early headlines were usually (and rightfully) associated with the pornography industry, since there weren't too many people willing to look at choppy video for any other reason. But once again, technology (dial-up Internet) was crippling the idea. It would have to wait until the turn of the century before people would finally give webcams, grandson of the PicturePhone, its day.

Perhaps the time has finally come; or perhaps it has already returned and we are in the middle of the third act. Either way, the World Wide Web introduced the most recent vision of the video communications: the aptly named webcam. Logitech, one of the industries pioneering forces, has constantly offered consumers reliable peripheral solutions. In this review, Benchmark Reviews will evaluate the progression of technology into a product which hopes to establish itself as the pinnacle of PicturePhone evolution: Logitech's QuickCam Ultra Vision Special Edition Webcam.

DragonSteelMods posted a review on the Akasa Integral 2.5" HDD USB enclosure

Enclosures seem to be very popular these days, and especially the type that fit 2.5" hard drives. With the switch to SATA notebook drives, I'm sure there are plenty of older IDE style drives floating around that can be used to add more storage to your system or to take things with you. Of course you'll need something to put that hard drive in, not only to make it work, but also for protection. Today for review I have the Integral 2.5" IDE hard drive USB enclosure from Akasa, so read on to check it out...

PC Stats posted Biostar TF7050-M2 GeForce 7050PV Motherboard Review

The two single largest features of the AMD 690G and nVIDIA GeForce 7050PV chipsets are native HDMI output and High Definition Content Protection (HDCP). Both chipsets are currently AMD only affairs, but with the extremely competitive pricing of AMD's Socket AM2 chips it's the perfect opportunity to build that small home theatre PC you've always wanted to have. After all it would be nice to watch all those illegally downloaded bit torrent movies on something larger than a computer monitor. If you're going to rip movies, you might as well watch them in HD, in full surround sound, and get the best bang for your buck. ;-)

TheTechLounge posted a review on the Creative Zen V Plus MP3 Player

When compared to the iPod shuffle the Zen already has twice the capacity at a price that is nearly identical. We're not doing a head-to-head comparison between the two products, but it is interesting to see how much of a price premium you pay for an Apple branded product just in terms of capacity, not to mention the many features the Zen V Plus can boast of as well. Let's take a closer look and see if the Zen's features and performance can make for a well-rounded product.

ClubOC takes a look at the OCZ Reaper PC2-8500 Memory

Today we have an exciting new memory product from OCZ Technology called the "Reaper HPC Edition". Reaper sounds like a tough name, but there is more to the Reaper than just a name. OCZ's new Reaper uses what is known as "heat pipe technology" or HPC (Heat Pipe Conduit). HPC is a very effective method of transferring heat from a heat source to a heatsink or from one heatsink to another by using copper conduits. Normally we only see this method of cooling in processor heatsinks where removing excessive heat is critical. As for using HPC in cooling memory modules, it's hard to say if HPC will actually have a noticeable effect on performance because memory modules produce very little heat in normal operation. Regardless, when it comes to computer hardware, cooler is better, especially when overclocking.

OCC has published a new review of the Lian Li PC-A08 Case

No matter how much blood, sweat, and tears goes into creating the ultimate computer setup, almost nobody sees the amount of time and expertise that it took to build it. They always judge the system solely on the final visual result.the case. With so many choices in the market place, the computer case has become more than just an enclosure. It's similar to the car that you drive as it can tell everyone a little bit about the type of person you are. The case you decide on ultimately affects so many factors, ranging from system performance to curb appeal or aesthetics. Things to think about when making this decision are design, air flow, noise level, upgradeability, looks, and for the budget minded, cost. One of Lian Li's latest cases to hit the market is the PC-A08. With its clean design and elegance that Lian Li has become well known for, the PC-A08 fits perfectly with its existing product line up.

OCIA.net takes a look at the Apevia X-QPack 2 in their latest review

The front bezel houses two 5" drive bays and one 3" opening, next to which is the LCD temperature display. Immediately below this is the spring-loaded steel carry handle. It retracts into the case when not in use but can easily be pulled out when you need to carry the X-QPack 2 to your next gig. Standard USB, Firewire and mic/headphone audio ports adorn the front next to power and HDD activity LED's. Power and reset buttons finish off the front panel features along with two mesh pieces on either side for ventilation.

MadPenguin.org posted an article about Dell and Linux

Like Apple, Dell has a good handle on the hardware side of things. After all, they will be in full control when they are ready to release this round of Linux boxes. However, what has me concerned are some areas where they might not be ready for is the WiFi realm, most noticeably, WPA encryption.

CoolTechZone.com posted a review on the RIM BlackBerry Curve 8300

Alright, this is not fun. RIM recently added the BlackBerry Curve 8300 into its product mix, and what’s annoying is the updated version is now available only after a few months of the original 8800. For you 8800 users, we feel your pain. However, let’s be a little more positive. The BlackBerry Curve 8300 is the next version of the 8800 series from RIM, and interestingly enough, it combines the features from the Pearl 8100 and 8800 and turns them into a device that’s a hybrid of the two. That’s cool.

The XTracPads Ripper is the smaller brother of the Ripper XXL. The mouse pad series comes in three different sizes, all with a wide aspect ratio. Driver Heaven posted a review on the Corsair Flash Voyager GT 8GB

The demand for ultra-mobile storage and the quick development of flash memory during the past few years has led to the high popularity that USB flash drives enjoy today. Flash drives are rarely supplied from companies who manufacture mechanical drives; they are usually built by RAM manufacturers since they are basically flash memory without any moving parts. Perhaps the most reputable RAM manufacturer, Corsair, is no exception as they are one of the first RAM manufacturers which offered USB flash drives and one of the few which designs their drives to be extremely tolerant to abuse. Today we will take a look at their latest, largest and fastest USB 2.0 flash drive, the 8GB Voyager GT.
