For the price you simply cannot do better than the Kingston HyperX PC2-9600. So what if they run really hot? They do the job just fine with the right settings and they work perfectly well and even in excess of what they're rated at. You've also got a lifetime warranty and free technical support.

They don't have EPP or look pimped out and they should if you're buying performance memory. But then again, there becomes a point where you just forego all the extras and setting for the pure saving.

They maybe not as absolutely fast as the equivalent speed Corsair memory, but they certainly aren't slow, and for a few hundred notes saving I wouldn't complain. You're still buying a pair of sticks with a good brand, and it's a price we'd certainly pay.

This review will be looking at the Samsung Q1 Ultra (Q1U), the second generation of what is said to have been the most popular of the UMPCs, though Sony's UX was probably the best received. In the Q1U Samsung has taken a page from Sony's play book and included a QWERTY keyboard, though this one cleverly fits on slate-style device with no mechanical action necessary to get to it. The Q1U has also addressed other shortcomings with the first generation UMPCs as well as with the Q1 specifically.

The Movie World Enclosure onscreen GUI is extremely simple to use. There are four different modes (views) you can select from. The first (and default) is File Mode, which like Windows Explorer, has two panes. The left pane displays the folder structure and the right pane lists the contents of the current folder. You can either use the left/right up/down arrow and select buttons on the remote to navigate or simply press the button that corresponds to the number displayed next to each selection.

When I played with Asus' 8800GTX, I was disappointed. It wasn't special. It was a stock-clocked GTX, with a stock trimmings, a simple bundle, at a price well above the competition. It didn't even overclock that well. What we have here from PNY is a stock-overclocked 8800GTX, part of their "XLR8" line of enthusiast hardware, and it's one of the least expensive 8800GTXs on the market. It has no bundle to speak of-outside of the driver disk, cables, and a handful of adapters, all necessary inclusions-therefore nothing to drive up the price.
