MSI's P45 Platinum motherboard
Bit-Tech published a review on MSI's P45 Platinum motherboard

All in all, the MSI P45 Platinum scores many wins with us, but unfortunately it hits almost as many epic fails. Hopefully some of these will change with software updates and BIOS updates, and we greatly look forward to what can be achieved with UEFI when the free update arrives in the next few months. Until then, we can only recommend you look elsewhere because there are currently better boards on the market.

ZEROtherm Nirvana NV120 Premium Review
Tech-Reviews has published a new review on the ZEROtherm Nirvana NV120 Premium

Although dual and quad core CPU's are very good performers; they are not so good in the heat department. As a result, coolers are vastly being designed which aim to cool CPU's to the lowest possible temps - making them ideal for overclockers and gamers alike.

With this in mind, Zerotherm have created the Nirvana - a performance CPU cooler which boasts an adjustable fan speed controller, 4 heat-pipes which deliver the effectiveness of 8, killer performance and a blue led fan.

Kingwin Revolution RVT-9225 CPU Cooler Review
DragonSteelMods posted Kingwin Revolution RVT-9225 CPU Cooler Review

On the review block today I've got the Kingwin Revolution RVT-9225 CPU Cooler, it utilizes what Kingwin calls H.D.T, or Heat Pipe-Direct Touch cooling technology. H.D.T is just a fancy term really, the cooler does not have a base as other coolers to, the heat pipes directly touch you CPU to provide maximum heat transfer efficiency. In my time with this cooler I tested in on both C2Q and C2Q processors and found that it performs very well, its performance rivals that of many of the top coolers on the market today.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 Review
APH Networks has published a new review on Adobe Photoshop Elements 6

The affordability of digital cameras and SD cards and widespread distribution of tutorials and techniques of photography have transformed many crowds of consumers into amateur digital photographers. They buy 16GB SDHC cards to store the memories. They read the tutorials and techniques for taking good pictures. And they know that post-processing matters in photography. Sadly, they also realize that learning how to use a full blown version of Adobe Photoshop would take up a lot of their time and resources just for a few features that they'd probably need. Not to mention that the professional Adobe Photoshop version, in terms of costs, is out of range of most consumers. Adobe actually saw this trend and created a product just for the amateur photographers: I'm talking about Adobe Photoshop Elements -- for simplicity in use and attractive pricing for consumer amateur photographers. Released in 2001 alongside Photoshop 7.0, Elements remains an important part of Adobe's Photoshop line. It's evolved through five stages to get to this version we have in our hands - Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, which was bundled with Adobe Premiere Elements 4.

OCZ EliteXStream 800W Power Supply report
APH Networks has published a new review on the OCZ EliteXStream 800W Power Supply

Well guys, here we go again -- another close-look-at-power-supply-hardware report. Last week, we took apart the Seasonic M12II 500W power supply. As usual, because we don't have the necessary professional equipment to do the simulated load testing, measuring the quality of power delivery (Voltage, ripple, etc) in accordance to load, and that we don't want to use some fake hardware test reports, we are up for another power supply hardware examination report. This time, we are going to crack open the relatively recently released OCZ EliteXStream 800W power supply (A 1000W model is also available for those who really need it). This power supply has gained excellent reputation in regards to performance and efficiency from other excellent online publications that tested it with professional load testing equipment. When OCZ asked me a couple months back to see if I wanted to take a look at the EliteXStream, I was nothing but excited to see what OCZ has in store lately. The OCZ EliteXStream series power supplies combine a 120mm fan with an open rear exhaust design like the Seasonic M12II for a somewhat good reputation of 'quietness' in this regard, and high power output ratings. So today, let's see how extremely elite is the OCZ 1337-Extreme 800W -- I mean, OCZ EliteXStream 800W.

VisionTek Radeon HD 3870 X2 Overclocked Edition Review
DriverHeaven posted a review on the VisionTek Radeon HD 3870 X2 Overclocked Edition

When most manufacturers design an enhanced specification graphics card they tend to increase the core and memory speed, others might do this and add a fancy cooler. Visiontek have on the other hand gone above and beyond this by doing both as well as completely redesigning the PCB to improve the size of the product and the features available to their customers. Today we are looking at the Visiontek Radeon HD 3870 X2 Overclocked Edition.

We will be running the card through a selection of the latest games at resolutions up to 2560x1600 as well as delving into some Blu-Ray playback testing and overclocking in order to see just how much Visiontek can improve on ATIs original design.

Coolermaster Real Power PSUs Review
XSReviews has reviewed the Coolermaster Real Power 700w, 850w, 1000w power supplies.

Coolermaster have, at times, been considered the kings of top of the line case manufacturing; thanks in part, to their popular Stacker range of chassis. In recent years though, Coolermaster have branched out into other areas, and attempted to apply their industry defining style and panache to other product types. Today I'll be testing 3 of CM's top of the line Real Power modular PSUs; lets see if they can live up the Coolermaster name.

NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB Preview - G92b at 55nm
PC Perspective posted a review on the NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB video card

My guess is that the marketing team at Big Green didn't want to one-up the recently released GT200 parts - some people might assume that singe it was built on the 65nm process while the new 9800 GTX+ is on the 55nm, that the GT200 would be inferior in some way. As we saw in our performance review of the GeForce GTX 280/260 cards, that's obviously not the case but I can see how some readers might make that conclusion.

Lite-On DH-4B1S 4x Blu-Ray Triple Writer Review
Bios Magazine posted a review on the Lite-On DH-4B1S 4x Blu-Ray Triple Writer

No matter what you want to backup - important or personal data from a digital still camera, digital video camcorder, TV and so on - the Lite-on DH-4B1S is a good choice for recording large volumes of DVD and high-definition audio and video. Its fast Blu-ray disc/DVD writing and rewriting functionality should also meet the needs of the most demanding Blu-ray DVD title creating and multimedia applications on PCs, and support for all the popular legacy formats makes it a practical choice. The only disappointment is lack of Dual-Layer (DL) Blu-ray support, allowing you to burn up to 50GB of data.

Logitech Driving Force GT Steering Wheel Review
I4U NEWS published a review of the Logitech Driving Force GT Steering Wheel.

Today we are looking at the Logitech Driving Force GT racing wheel specifically designed to be used with the PS3 game Gran Tursimo 5 Prologue. The wheel has force feedback effects and controls to allow real-time adjustment of car performance.

The force feedback effects are good with the Driving Force GT, but simply not in the same league as the G25. That said the price of the Driving Force GT is not in the same league as the G25 either. You can pick up the Driving Force GT for $149.99 and the G25 will set you back $299. For the vast majority of users the Driving Force GT will be ideal for driving games like GT5.

ASUS Eee PC 1000H Under The Covers
TweakTown takes a look at the ASUS Eee PC 1000H

Eee PC 1000H is Taiwan’s version of the latest Eee PC launched by ASUS late in 2007. Since then, like a wildfire the Eee PC revolution has burned asunder all competition before it. There is literally no other genré of PC like it. However, that being said, I have to say the look and feel of the model we are looking at today is a lot different from the first Eee PC we originally exposed in all her innocence a while ago.

Today we are going to strip down a juicier, more mature model; something seductively more endowed, and covered in glossy black. No more innocent “clad in white” teeny tid-bit viewing; this is an all-black leather mistress with her whips and chains, and it took a great deal of coaxing to calm her out of her plastic glossy black briefs.

Four Radeon HD 4850s In CrossfireX
TweakTown tested four Radeon HD 4850s in CrossfireX

The guys down at IBuyPower Australia can’t get rid of me these days. I’m surprised they haven’t started asking me to pay rent. The other day the ASUS P5E64 WS Evolution board arrived, and this thing just absolutely won me over as far as looks and features went.

However, the feature that we really care about today is the fact it has four PCI Express x16 slots. While ASUS use a x16/x16/x4/x4 configuration, it’s really one of the best on the market. So, with four HD 4850s in hand and hopefully a driver that was going to work, it was time to take four of these single slot bad boys to town.

CoolerMaster Hyper 212 CPU Cooler Review
Virtual-Hideout posted CoolerMaster Hyper 212 CPU Cooler Review

CoolerMaster has a wide assortment of heatpipe-based coolers, and one of their newest releases is the Hyper 212. The construction has multiple heatpipes in a tower design, but not just any tower design. The Hyper 212 sports a dual tower design, with four heatpipes each and increased surface area. The heatpipes use Fluid Mechanics to draw heat away from the copper base and move it to the fins. The Hyper 212 is designed to handle the newer releases of CPU's more efficiently and effectively.

SilenX ICX-120HA2 Extreme CPU Cooler Review
Virtual-Hideout takes a look at the SilenX ICX-120HA2 Extreme CPU Cooler

The main concerns with the design was whether or not the base components made a good enough contact to properly dissipate the heat. The SilenX ICX-120HA2 CPU Cooler has a nice design "change of base" that seems to really have worked out. It doesn't appear to hamper performance and in fact, improves the results. There's not much that you can improve upon the cooler, except for maybe some better thermal paste.
