techPowerUp posted a review on the AirLive WMU-6500FS WiFi HDD & Downloader

The OvisLink powered AirLive WiFi enclosure may look just like a normal NAS storage device, but it has a lot more to offer than that. The well constructed and easy to use web interface can convert the enclosure to an iTunes server, can handle your FTP, HTTP and even BitTorrent downloads - straight to the internal IDE or SATA hard drive.

XYZ Computing posted a review on the Toshiba R500 Notebook

So what is so special about the R500? For starters, it is the slimmest notebook ever to have an optical drive. That's right- this 12", 2.4 pound, 0.77" thick notebook has a DVD drive on board. The drive is a 7mm thick tray model (instead of a slot loader) that is downright impressive. With so many ultraportables, even those that outweigh the R500 by a pound, ditching their optical drive this is going to be a major selling point for some buyers. Aside from the size and weight, both of which are impressive, other high points include a Core 2 Duo U7600 processor, transreflective LED backlit display, and a spill-resistant keyboard.

Mikhailtech posted Scythe Kama 18-in-1 USB Internal & External Card Reader Review

The case for the reader is made up of two separate plastic pieces. They're held together by hooks, though Scythe decided to further secure it by sealing the ridges between the two parts with glue. All it took was a knife to get past the thin layer though; after that it popped apart easily. As you can see, there's not much inside. It's a single PCB with a controller chip and various connectors (two at the top and two on the underside).

techPowerUp posted a review on the A-DATA PD18 Flash Drive 2 GB

A-DATA has shown off some very unique USB storage devices in various shapes and sizes. The tiny PD17 already impressed, but lacked the overall performance. This is where the PD18 can shine, with much better results in a very small package and twice the storage space - 2GB.

PC Stats takes a look at the PNY D22GX93XLP-5 XLR8 Performance Edition 2GB PC2-9384 Memory

Updated with better overclocking results! 2.2V seems to be what the PNY memory needed because the clock speed increased another 100 MHz without any difficulty. The memory ended up hitting a maximum speed of 1160 MHz and that's definitely very respectable with 4-4-4-12 timings! Let's check out what these bad boys can do when the timings are loosened up.

Howtoforge published a guide on Virtual Hosting with PureFTPd and MySQL on CentOS 5.0

This document describes how to install a PureFTPd server that uses virtual users from a MySQL database instead of real system users. This is much more performant and allows to have thousands of ftp users on a single machine. In addition to that I will show the use of quota and upload/download bandwidth limits with this setup. Passwords will be stored encrypted as MD5 strings in the database.

So you finally saved up some money to buy your dream home theater system. You have your new 1080p large screen television as wide as a livingroom wall, you have your surround sound system that could rival the noise created by god himself, but you are still missing that final piece to the perfect high definition movie viewing puzzle. As you should know, a standard DVD player would just disgrace your new investment seeing the recent evolution of players has kicked it up a notch to the new HD standard.

TrustedReviews have looked at the HP LP3065 30in LCD Monitor

Only a couple of years ago, Apple’s 30in Cinema Display was your only option if you wanted a 2,560 x 1,600 monitor, but a lot has changed since then. Obviously Dell appeared on the scene, making 30in displays far more affordable and adding better screen adjustment into the bargain. I reviewed Dell’s latest 30in display last week – the UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC – which was a decent screen apart from the lack of colour calibration at the factory. While the superb Samsung 305T offered outstanding image quality and colour accuracy out of the box. The HP LP3065 provides another option for anyone looking for a 30in display, but how does it fare against the competition?

TrustedReviews have looked at the Dell 1320c colour laser printer

Dell is becoming a major supplier of printers in its own right and to offer a compact colour laser for a little over £220 puts it in direct competition with names like Canon, HP, Lexmark and Xerox. It's not just the initial price of the printer, though, that determines the overall cost of ownership.

TrustedReviews have looked at the MSI RX2600XT

Based on ATI's HD 2600 XT graphics chip coupled with 512MB of GDDR3 memory and priced at £95.14 (guideline price), the RX2600XT is around £10 cheaper than the XFX Fatal1ty 8600 GT and carries a very similar feature set. Both cards have similar gaming performance (which we'll look at in detail later), dedicated video decoding engines, two dual-link DVI outputs, and large passive heatsinks. Of course there are some subtle - and some not so subtle - differences but essentially it's a straight out fight between the two.

Elite Bastards posted a review on the Galaxy GeForce 8600 GTS OC video card

Compared to the GeForce 8600 GT part we looked at from Galaxy recently, this particular GeForce 8600 GTS SKU is a little more conservative with regard to its overclocks. For starters, the 256MB of memory on-board hasn't been touched at all, leaving it at the stock speed of 1GHz, while the G84 core sported by this card gets just a 45MHz boost, leaving it clocked at 720MHz over the reference speed of 675MHz. This also makes for a change in the clock speed of the core's Stream Processors, up to 1,584MHz from the 1,450MHz of the stock part.

PC Apex have a new review up of the NZXT Hush Midtower Case

This is my third case I have received from them and each time the tyling gets better and better! This particular model is black with blue lighting in the front which makes for a nice contrast. The case is also available with a silver finish for those who are not into black. The front of the case is made of plastic but NZXT gave it the look of brushed aluminum which is very nice. The sides of the case, as well as the chassis, are made of a thin, sturdy steel. Overall the case is fairly lightweight and is easy to move around. The Front Blue led is securely mounted inside the door; if you give your case some loving abuse, you don't have to worry about this case falling apart.

OCC has published a new review of the Sapphire HD 2600 XT Video Card

"Be Prepared". Maybe you've heard this from your parents, friends, or co-workers. But I'm telling you to be prepared for DirectX 10. When those new games are released which utilize DirectX 10, you don't want to be left behind the pack. Understandably, you don't want to break the bank, so you'll probably be looking to get a mainstream card. HotHardware evaluate the features, range, and performance of a couple of draft-N WiFi devices from TRENDnet.

The main focus of the article is the TRENDnet TEW-631BRP Firewall Router, but we used it in conjunction with a TEW-621PC PCMCIA adapter that brings 300Mbps wireless connectivity to any laptop. By using these two pieces of hardware together in our test environment, we were be able to demonstrate the advantages of 300Mbps WiFi over 54Mbps as well as spotlight the installation and features offered by both.
