Thermaltake ProWater 850i Liquid Cooling Kit Review
OCIA.net has posted their review of the Thermaltake ProWater 850i Liquid Cooling Kit

While unfamiliarity with the Thermaltake name requires residence under a rock in a remote land, this big named company has also been producing water cooling kits and components for several years now and as such is a known name in the business. Today, I have the Thermaltake ProWater 850i, a complete liquid cooling kit for your CPU. While complete kits don't have the best reputation for performance, they do serve as fantastic introductions to the water scene. Their upgradeability makes them a great introductory choice for beginners and they come with thorough manuals to help ease the leap of faith that is liquid cooling.

Biostar A740G M2+ Review
InsideHW.com has posted review for Biostar A740G M2+ motherboard

Biostar introduced "office version" of motherboard based on "office" AMD RS740 chipset. Graphics core is based on RV410, identical graphics core as for AMD RD690 chipset. DX10 is not supported, which isn't a big problem because there isn't any integrated graphics that can run DX10 games with decent framerate yet. Communication between CPU and chipset is limited to 1 GHz, as for 690G, and in case of full duplex: 2 GHz (communication is carried out in both directions). Since 740G doesn't support HTT 3.0 (690G doesn't support it to), it is bottleneck as far as performances of integrated GPU are concerned.

ASUS Triton 78 Review
OCC has published a new review on the ASUS Triton 78

When it comes to the build of the ASUS Triton 78, it has its own particular look that I have not seen before. Not only is it a single large tower that works to pull the heat off of your processor, it also has the design of two different heatsinks working together to remove as much heat as it possibly can. The Triton 78 has four heatpipes coming off of the base of the cooler that go though the array of 42 fins that fully encase a 120mm fan to suck in fresh air through one side and shoot it out the other side. This design is not something that I have seen before, and I am very curious to see how it will work.

DreamWare Computers posted a review on the Samsung HMX20C High-Def Camcorder

With the Samsung HMX10A previously receiving a splendid review I was excited to hear about the new HMX20C. With the 20C they've taken the camera up to the full 1080p, used a higher quality image sensor, added a flash and also done a list full of other minor changes along the way. Will this new camera from them sink or swim with these new changes? Time to find out!

GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 260 Graphics Card Review
TweakTown posted a review on the GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 260 Graphics Card

Like the GTX 280 which has dropped in price over the last few weeks, the GTX 260 has followed suit. Whether you’re a fan of ATI or not, the release of the HD 4800 series and their performance to price ratio has forced NVIDIA to cut margins on the new GTX line-up of cards and give us an extremely powerful card for what now resembles a fair price.

To date we’ve only had a look at one GTX 260 which came with a massive out of the box overclock. What this means is it hasn’t really given us the ability to completely come to terms with what the GTX 260 offers in its cheapest form; the stock form.

ASUS P5E64 WS Pro X38 Motherboard Review
Benchmark Reviews posted a review on the ASUS P5E64 WS Pro X38 Motherboard

As predicted for this year, the dizzying high prices of DDR3 have finally dropped to within reason- even edging into that of DDR2's price point. The reason for such drastic price drops is that chip makers like Micron, Samsung, Hynix, and Qimonda are currently in full swing mass production of DDR3 DRAM - increasing supply and beating demand. This excess in inventory of DDR3 means a steady supply affordable and readily available chips that have helped to spur such rapid market adoption, evident with over fifty different motherboards currently on the market that support this memory standard.

Further DDR3 price drops are expected to continue into the fourth quarter and means many will be looking for quality motherboards suitable for high-speed DDR3. That being the case Benchmark Reviews thought it would be of interest to examine one of the more mature DDR3 based motherboard offerings on the market today; the ASUS P5E64 WS Professional Motherboard based on Intel's 3 series X38 Express Chipset with support for unheard of "Quad" graphics.

AMD ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 Review
bit-tech published a review of AMD's ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 graphics card

AMD has done a great job with the Radeon HD 4870 X2 and it has snatched the crown for the fastest graphics card in the world back from Nvidia in the process. Like we've said though, it's not all rosy and there are drawbacks associated with buying a Radeon HD 4870 X2, just like there are with any other multi-GPU configuration. As long as you're prepared to accept them, then the Radeon HD 4870 X2 is well worth considering if you've got that kind of cash to throw around.

The GeForce GTX 280's new price point makes it seem like an attractive buy as well, with cards starting anywhere from about £275 including VAT. If anything though, the Radeon HD 4870 X2 makes a single Radeon HD 4870 or GeForce GTX 260 look like better options today because it's almost as if there's too much horsepower on tap here with AMD's new flagship card.

Right now, the Radeon HD 4870 X2's most impressive performance gains can really only be seen at the lofty resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 or with high levels of Anti Aliasing at 1,920 x 1,200 -- at lower resolutions, or lower levels of AA, the gains just aren't there at all. However, given that there's a slew of new (and hopefully more graphically intense) games about to hit the shelves before Christmas, picking up a Radeon HD 4870 X2 if you've got a 24-inch widescreen doesn't seem like such a bad idea -- you can play today's games with stupidly high levels of AA and hopefully tomorrow's games at native resolution with no big compromises to image quality.

ATI HD4870X2 Crysis AA vs DX9/DX10 Performance
MadShrimps compared the performance of the ATI HD4870X2 under Crysis AA and DX9/DX10

We did some data mining through the massive amount of test data that was put online yesterday; it seems the HD4870X2 works really wonderful with Crysis when AA is enabled, if you are running under Vista. The increased level of detail with 4xAA doesn't really reduce performance all that much. While the GTX 280 takes a serious performance hit. Secondly is the fact that the HD4870X2 holds up better going from Windows XP to Windows Vista, and runs the game faster than the GTX 280 when "Very High" detail is used. While under XP with "High" the both are basically tied.

Feel free to sample the charts from our site; as the credit goes to the original testers!
