ARCTIC MX-4 Thermal Paste Review
Vortez.co.uk posted a review on the ARCTIC MX-4 Thermal Paste

ARCTIC recently underwent a brand redesign to reflect their diversification into new market segments. However, their primary focus will no doubt still be on cooling solutions, of which we've seen a number reviewed here at Vortez under the ARCTIC Cooling sub brand. Their latest addition to an already successful line of cooling products is the ARCTIC MX-4 thermal paste. Last year saw the release of the ARCTIC MX-3 thermal paste which easily topped our chart as a risk free, non conductive and excellent performer. ARCTIC is hoping to improve on their winning formula to deliver a solution that is not only superior in quality but also much lower in price.

Every enthusiast faces the time when they have to do something to their computer and realizes they can't find the tool they need to do it.  There have been plenty of times when I scratched a trace on my motherboard and couldn't find my soldering gun or needed a Torx screwdriver and lost the heads.  It would be nice if I could get most of the tools I need to do what I need to do and keep them safe. Keeping them stored in a nice zippered vinyl case instead of throwing them in a drawer to fumble through or forgetting them somewhere. Oh! Wait! There is... Enter the StarTech Computer Service Tool Kit.

Gelid Icy Vision Video Card GPU Cooler Review
Legit Reviews posted a review on the Gelid Icy Vision Video Card GPU Cooler

Do you have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 video card and want to have it run cooler and quieter but don't want to make the jump to water cooling? Then you're in need of an aftermarket air cooler. Today, we are looking at one such option from GELID Solutions, the Icy Vision VGA cooler. Join us as we put it on our GTX480 and see how it well it can handle the heat.

The Gelid Icy Vision video card cooler weighs in at a scant 465g and that is significantly lighter then the water blocks we recently looked at. The Icy Vision has twin 92mm UV reactive fans. The fans push 67.214CFM at 2000 RPM and humming along at a quiet 26dBA, which is a far cry better then the almost 70dBA that we have seen from the stock cooling fan. Looking from the side the Icy Vision is thick, really thick. From the base to the top of the fans is 52mm, or roughly 2 inches. That is .75 inches or 19mm taller than the stock GTX480 cooler..

A Quick Look at the Self-Installing HP LaserJet P1606dn
TechSpot takes a quick look at the Self-Installing HP LaserJet P1606dn

Before we get started, we'd like to say that we realize a printer is just a printer to most people. It consumes precious workspace, costs a fortune in supplies, and few geeks would marvel at a copy machine's spec sheet. Along with that it should be made abundantly clear that this write-up is only a quick look at the HP LaserJet P1606dn, or more specifically, one of its key features: Smart Install.

When we covered the launch of HP's self-installing printers back in April, some of you praised the concept while others questioned it -- and rightfully so, "plug and print" is a bold claim. Intrigued, we thought it would be cool to check one out, if only for the novelty factor. It's not a huge hassle to pop in a software disc, but if it can be done automatically, why the heck not, right? On the side this should also avoid the 'bloat' factor omnipresent in today's default installers.

Spire Coolers PacificBreeze II - SP302AP-B Review

HIS HD 5850 iCooler V Turbo Review
KitGuru posted a review on the HIS HD 5850 iCooler V Turbo

Today we are looking at another 5000 series card from HIS, the HIS HD5850 iCooler V Turbo. The last HIS card we reviewed was the IceQ 5 5770 and in a similar fashion the HD5850 shares a factory pre-overclock.

This particular product features a center mounted fan to disperse air across the fins of the heatsink to provide a cooler, faster and quieter solution when compared to a reference design 5850. As Sapphire offer the Vapor-X lineup and Power Color have the PCS+ models, the HIS card is up against some stiff competition if it expects the public to part with hard earned cash.

GIGABYTE 880GMA-UD2H AMD 880G Motherboard Review
Legit Reviews posted a review on the GIGABYTE 880GMA-UD2H AMD 880G Motherboard

The GIGABYTE 880GMA-UD2H is a micro-ATX motherboard that has some great features thanks to the AMD 880GM chipset. Priced as a sub-$100 motherboard should we get our hopes up for the great performance we have come to expect from GIGABYTE, or is it just a low price point filler? Read on to find out as we test the board with an AMD Socket AM3 multi-core processors (the six core 1055T) and check out the boards overclocking capabilities and power consumption.

All in all I have to say that I am very impressed with the GIGABYTE 880GMA-UD2H motherboard. Throughout the testing it never complained or crashed, and was competing near the top of the charts with the much more expensive boards like the ASUS Crosshair IV Formula. I suppose I should expect nothing less from a company like GIGABYTE, though it is still surprising how well it did! This is the type of performance I have come to expect from GIGABYTE!
