Alienware M17x Laptop Review
DriverHeaven.net posted a review on the Alienware M17x Laptop

Alienware was formed in 1996 and in the first 10-years of their existence the company created a name for themselves in the enthusiast market. It did not matter if a consumer was looking for a high performance desktop, notebook or HTPC system because Alienware had something capable to offer. When combined with futuristic and distinctive styling they have always appealed to discerning users.

Back in 2006 there was a significant change behind the scenes at Alienware when they became part of the Dell Corporation. For the first 3-years of the changeover the products released by the two divisions continued under the existing branding with Dell continuing to use XPS for their high end enthusiast products.

Nexus FLC-3000 Heatsink Review
TestSeek.com Labs posted a review of the Nexus FLC-3000 Heatsink

Perhaps the most eye catching feature of the FLC-3000, at least compared to the LOW- 7000, is the 30 degree angle of the heatsink itself, it really looks strange to the eye at first. However, it's clear that the heatsink is suitable for cases of small dimensions, the size of the fins clearly suggests this and the height of 119mm is not that much compared to other heatsinks in the same category...

Sapphire HD 4650 AGP Graphics Card Review
Hi Tech Legion posted Sapphire HD 4650 AGP Graphics Card Review

It must be at least four years since I have built a system around an AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port for those who have forgotten) graphics card. So when I found out that there was a previously released graphics card being rereleased with an AGP interface and that I was getting it to review, the fond memories of my current doorstop for the closet door came flooding back into my mind. That AMD socket A, Athlon 2800+ beast (now old and weary) was going to be able to serve once more as one of my systems, if not for a short return to the league out of retirement like many famous athletes. The car I speak of for this blast from the past review is an ATI Radeon from Sapphire. The Sapphire ATI HD4650 AGP features the same 4600 series power but with an AGP interface. The Sapphire ATI HD4650 AGP serves to upgrade aging systems to meet some of the current graphics demands of current games and video. The release of this inexpensive graphics card in an AGP format is certain to stir some interest among those with older systems that just don't have the money for more current technology but would like to try their hand at some of the more current games, even if at lower settings and resolutions.

QNAP TS-809 Pro Turbo 8-Bay NAS Review
TweakTown posted a review on the QNAP TS-809 Pro Turbo 8-Bay NAS

Ever since QNAP released their TS-509 Pro Turbo NAS, they have been sitting at the top of the mountain looking down. Thecus responded with the N7700 and was able to close the performance gap and feature set, but the TS-509 was still ahead of the game. Not looking to rest, QNAP has countered Thecus’ latest offerings with their own newly improved line-up that is now capable of being limited by Ethernet. The new QNAP TS-809 Pro Turbo NAS is so fast that your Ethernet cable used to connect the NAS to your network is now the limiting factor.

QNAP also made great strides in user management, an area that can always be made more user friendly until we reach automatic setup based on what a user is thinking. Since reading a person’s thoughts is still not possible, QNAP has come up with the next best solution. The new AJAX interface that QNAP released with the latest round of firmware updates is the most advanced NAS interface we have tested to date and today we will have a look at just how easy it is to setup QNAP NAS servers with it.

Basic Security in Wireless Networks
Hardware Secrets posted Basic Security in Wireless Networks

We can finally say that wireless networks are the standard for connecting computers now. Wireless network cards are for long a standard laptop built-in accessory. Almost all broadband routers – a peripheral that allows you to share your broadband Internet connection with several computers – come with an antenna for wireless networking, allowing the sharing of your Internet connection not only with computers connected to the router by cable, but also to those that have antennas for wireless network. With the popularization with wireless networks came also the increased number of users being hacked and their connection or even important data being watched and stolen. In this short tutorial we will teach you the basics of wireless networking security: how to upgrade the router firmware, how to enable encryption and making sure that you are using the correct kind of encryption.

QNAP TS-439 Pro Turbo NAS Review
Computer & Consumer Electronic Reviews has posted a new article on the QNAP TS-439 Pro Turbo NAS

The QNAP TS-439 has a lot of great features going for it. For a 4 drive NAS device which really is a computer optimized for storage purposes, it doesn't have a huge footprint. The black front with gun metal aluminum chassis gives it a very sleek and professional look, definitely meant for the office or a network, tucked away in a network cabinet. Unlike the TS-809 Pro that I reviewed earlier, the TS-439 comes complete with eSATA ports to increase your capacity by an additional 2 drives.

Cooler Master Elite 310 review
Neoseeker reviews the Cooler Master Elite 310 case

The price is just absurd (in a good way) for a case of this quality. At a paltry $40 USD without a PSU, and $60 USD with a PSU, the Elite 310 offers fantastic value. The Elite 310 can be recommended not only because it can maintain temperatures really well, but also because you can't go wrong when it is this inexpensive.

NZXT Panzerbox Case Review
Hi Tech Legion posted a review on the NZXT Panzerbox Case

The performance of the NZXT Panzerbox was top notch and the cooling of the interior components, despite the tightly cramped quarters, was exceptional. The GPUs only saw a two degree increase under load and the RAM and CPU temperature increases were well within expected numbers during a stress testing session. The most remarkable part was that the system temperatures inside of the case remained only one degree above room temperature at idle and only two degrees above that under load. These results of system temperatures would be expected from a normal mid tower case with the components not cramped together, but the large fans and extra ventilation really help this case to perform well under temperature testing.

OCZ Behemoth Double-Laser Gaming Mouse Review
OCC has published a review on the OCZ Behemoth Double-Laser Gaming Mouse

The reason the OCZ Behemoth Double-Laser Gaming mouse was rated an 8 in the comfort test is the fact that it is a little large for my hand and I am used to a more relaxed and spread out hand position like the Razer Diamondback 3G was able to provide, whereas the OCZ mouse had a more tense and bunched up feel to it. The customization of the OCZ mouse was better than the Razer mouse, as it has way more options for what the buttons are able to do, as well as has the ability to create a script for a button. I do prefer the way that the Razer mouse is able to change the DPI settings by holding one of the side buttons and using the scroll wheel to change the resolution setting, while you only have four in-game options with the OCZ mouse.
