IDF Prague: Terascale Computing
techPowerUp! posted a coverage from the IDF Prague

At Intel Developer Forum 2006 in Prague a presentation explained any of the obstacles that need to be overcome on the long way to Terascale computing. A Terascale computer is a machine that can perform one trillion operations per second, more than 50 times of what today's high-end CPUs can achieve. But Terascale is about much more than just building a CPU that can go that fast...

Asetek Low Cost Liquid Cooling (LCLC) Review
Hardware Secrets posted a review on the Asetek Low Cost Liquid Cooling (LCLC)

“Low Cost Liquid Cooling” or simply LCLC is the name of the latest water cooling kit from Asetek. It doesn’t have a fancy name however its name says it all: it is a cheap water cooler targeted to OEMs. This kit comes already pre-assembled and has only two parts, meaning that OEMs will be able to offer a water cooler solution to their costumers for an affordable price without needing to go thru the hassle of assembling complicated parts. Let’s take a look on it.

DFI LANParty UT NF590 SLI-M2R/G Review
PC Modding Malaysia posted a review on the DFI LANParty UT NF590 SLI-M2R/G

With vast memory tweaking and overclocking options in the BIOS, the SLI-M2R/G motherboard should make overclocking easy and fun. We managed to hit over 640 MHz memory frequencies when we paired it with some OCZ VX2 Micron D9s, which broke our own lab records in terms of memory speed. At the same time, our Athlon 3000+ also reached slightly
over 3.2GHz whilst on water-cooling only. Nevertheless, the current BIOS needs a little improvement as we were limited to only 370HTT.

MSI Geforce NX7900GT-VT2D256EHD Video Card Review
Viper Lair posted a review on the MSI Geforce NX7900GT-VT2D256EHD Video Card

In our last few reviews, we've stated that HDCP isn't a big deal right now and we still don't think it will impact the majority of consumers for at least another year to 18 months. HDCP is a reality though and we will need hardware that can decrypt the signal in hardware for optimal performance. That said, the MSI Geforce NX7900GT-VT2D256EHD is a superior product to most 7900GT products, including MSI's own non-HDCP 7900GT due to it's higher default speeds and HDCP support.

To X-Finity and Beyond! Ultra's X-Finity 500W PSU Review
OCModShop posted a review on Ultra's X-Finity 500W PSU

The Ultra X-FinityT 500 Watt PSU w/ Active PFC appears to be exactly what one would look for in a power supply of this energy rating. First, it is in an attractive enclosure of black brushed aluminum, with well fitting seems, and strong-looking materials. It is also very heavy - lots of circuitry as work here. The cables are what Ultra calls, FlexForce: They are designed to make routing and space-management better inside your case. They are an attractive black and silver scheme, and much more pleasant to use than the standard red-black-black-yellow cables. Of particular interest is the huge 12cm fan, which spins relatively slowly, and is very quiet. Yes, I would certainly be proud to show off this power supply. But does it perform?

Zalman CNPS9500 LED Heatsink Review
GruntvillE.com posted a review on the Zalman CNPS9500 LED Heatsink

This is when I saw where the reputation for the hot Prescott cores came from, I had problems keeping this chip from setting off alarms. I thought it might not be set properly so I removed it, cleaned it and reset it, and still was getting high temps. Letting this one stay on there a week for the AS5 to cure was a hard decision and I was glad to take it off and put the Zalman 9500 back on, but this time with the AS5.

Enermax Phoenix Enclosure Review
Virtual-Hideout posted a review on the Enermax Phoenix Enclosure

When I fired up the computer for testing, I kept the 250mm fan off for about 10 minutes. When that time had passed, I powered up the side fan and placed my hand by the exhaust ports on the rear of the enclosure. I was definitely surprised at the heat it was pushing out.

First Look: SynapseLife
XYZ Computing takes a look at SynapseLife

Where companies like Google and Zoho are trying to help you be productive through office applications, other services are aimed at personal organization. The internet power user has a number of tools which can easily be transferred from the desktop to the "webtop" if they are willing to take a chance with a new service. In addition to RSS feeds and bookmarks there are many personal organization duties that have successfully made the transition to the web. The trouble for most people has become finding a site that is able to code these in a manner that has the features you need, a high degree of accessibility, and is easy to use.

What we will be looking at in this article is SynapseLife.com, the highly awaited offering from Synapse Corporate Solutions (which explains the confusing name). This company knows a lot about corporate organization, so their jump into the world of Web 2.0 AJAX sites is not surprising. The question with sites like this is rarely if the company can do what it proposes, but rather how well it can do these things and how interested consumers are in the services offered. While what SynapseLife is offering looks tempting, but I keep asking myself, is it going to be any better or any different that what is currently available?

Neoseeker Abit AB9Pro Review
Neoseeker has published a review of Abit's P965 based AB9-Pro board.

The SATA performance is outstanding, and it performs almost identically - sometimes a hair better, sometimes a hair worse - as our Asus P5B Deluxe WiFi, which was our reigning P965 champion. The AB9 Pro tied it, which is an excellent result.

There are many things to like about the board - the overabundance of SATA ports, POST LED, great overclocking features in the BIOS, plenty of USB2 ports, firewire, optical audio input and output, clean layout and more - but what really wins enthusiasts hearts and minds is excellent peformance, and the AB9 Pro delivers.

Thermaltake Mozart TX Case Review
Bjorn3D posted a review on the Thermaltake Mozart TX Case

After countless hours of hardship from everyone, we turned a few preliminary lines on a sketchbook into a beautiful actual creation. When the prototype returned, everyone wanted to be the first to see how our imaginations had turned out. After that, we fitted all the components into the prototype and started refining the goddess. Needless to say, there were a lot of refinements and revisions after the first prototype. The finished Mozart TX was simply stunningly beautiful and perfectly functional

ABIT has done a wonderful job with the Fatal1ty AN9 32X board. The board scored over 40 points on our features scoring system, with SLI, Firewire and other features making it one of the most feature-rich boards on the market. Performance was on a par with other boards on this chipset with the default clock speed, but the overclocking was very good on the board making it an excellent choice for people that want the absolute best.
