Antec Fusion Black 430 Review
Bjorn3D take a look at the Antec Fusion Black 430

So you're into all sorts of media. Music, movies, TV, games, Internet, etc. The list goes on and on. You have your TiVo, your DVD player, your stereo and your computer for playing games and browsing the web. If there is any space left in that living room maybe you have a couch or perhaps your prefer a lawn chair to make space for the mini-fridge for those extra long gaming sessions. There has to be a better way to do this. What about using your computer as a DVD player / music player / TiVo? Ya know that little beige box that looks like the computer case time forgot. You wouldn't be caught dead with that thing in your living room. What if there was a case that blended into your current electronic equipment seamlessly? What's that you say? You like to relax on your recliner and control everything with a remote. Antec has you covered. With their new Fusion line of cases you get a media case with a built in VFD (Vacuum Fluorescent Display) that works under Windows Media center and looks so sleek you'll never guess it's a computer.

Gigabyte Odin GT 800W Power Supply Review
Bit-Tech published a review of Gigabyte's Odin GT 800W Power Supply

Gigabyte has done a fantastic job with its first power supply - it's extremely quiet, very well made, good looking and it has cool additions like molex quick release plugs, modularity, thermal probes, fan adapters, colour co-ordination (mostly) and software control. I'm genuinely finding it hard to criticise it but my natural gut reaction is "motherboard turned accessory maker - additional business rather than a primary one" which may be true, but it's not to the detriment of the product.

There are certainly a few things that need revisiting, including airflow and connector lengths, but it's nothing particularly serious. My only worry is long term reliability, but there's certainly no outright reason to worry and nothing has been reported so far. Just check what it has suits your needs and stick it on your want list if you're all ticks.

Corsair VX450W Power Supply Review
HardwareLogic posted a review on the Corsair VX450W Power Supply

The VX450W from Corsair touts itself as a low noise and high efficiency 450 watt power supply. Corsair claims the VX450W produces 21db of noise under all but the heaviest loads (not much more than the sound of a whisper at three feet away), and will remain over 80% efficiency over its entire range. They call the VX450W a rock solid performer and ideal solution for home theater PCs (HTPCs) and Energy Star PCs (we read this as mainstream and budget). Oh really? Well, we shall see about that.

Antec TruePower Quattro 1,000W Power Supply Review
PC Perspective posted a review on the Quattro 1,000W PSU

The Antec Quattro 1,000W power supply has a lot of very good features. The voltage regulation is excellent and the overall efficiency is very good. Under normal operating conditions (below 600W load) the Quattro 1kW is quiet and runs relatively cool. The Quattro comes fitted with a good balance of hard-wired and modular connectors that can support dual, high-end video cards. And let's not forget active PFC and Antec's 5-year AQ5 warranty!

Corsair DOMINATOR Twin3X2048-1800C7D 2GB DDR3-1800 Memory Kit Review
PC Stats posted Corsair DOMINATOR Twin3X2048-1800C7D 2GB DDR3-1800 Memory Kit Review

Ready or not here comes DDR3 memory! When dual core processors were introduced, both Intel and AMD shifted over to DDR2 quickly so their processors could get maximum bandwidth. When quad core chips are thrown into the mix, DDR2 just can't keep up.

Crucial Ballistix PC3-12800 2x1GB (BL2KIT12864BA1608) Review
Overclockers Online has published a new review on the Crucial Ballistix PC3-12800 2x1GB (BL2KIT12864BA1608) memory

The DDR3 revolution has only just begun and the performance is already better than a lot of people figured it would be. The clocks we are seeing from these Micron D9GTR ICs on the Crucial Ballistix modules are simply incredible and un-matched by anyone else at the moment, much like the Micron D9GMH/GKX of DDR2.

Kingwin RVT-9225 Heatpipe Direct Touch CPU Cooler Review
OCIA.net takes a look at the Kingwin RVT-9225 Heatpipe Direct Touch CPU Cooler in their latest review.

The idea of exposed heatpipes makes sense. Besides the transferal of heat between the heatsink and heatpipes, the heatsink itself can be made of aluminum. allowing lower manufacturing cost, and less weight. We'll see just how well this new idea works.

ASUS P5K Premium Motherboard Review
OCC has published a new review of the ASUS P5K Premium Motherboard

This board features two 16x PCI-E slots one blue for 16x operation and the other (black) that runs at 4x and can run any card from 1x to 16x with a maximum speed of two GB/s. These two ports are crossfire compatible. Three standard PCI slots and two PCI-E 1x slots are also available. If dual graphics cards are used with the stock or aftermarket heatsinks accessing the PCI slots may prove difficult. Using water cooling would be a way to eliminate that as a concern. Many of the connectivity options are scattered along the bottom and right hand side of the board. These include the front panel USB and Firewire as well as the front panel high definition audio, an additional com port and the high definition audio header.

OCZ Reaper HPC PC2-9200 DDR2 1150MHz RAM Kit Review
Benchmark Reviews takes a look at the OCZ Reaper HPC PC2-9200 DDR2 1150MHz RAM Kit

Ever since Intel released the 3 series chipset, DDR2 has had the wind taken from its sails so that DDR3 could make waves. This was meant with the best intentions, but as DDR3 was released to the public it didn't take long for people to realize it was still too immature to compete against DDR2 in regards to performance. This put the weight of the world back on the shoulders of DDR2, which has just earned a reprieve from execution. But now that manufacturers are tooling up for DDR3 production, there are only a few names remaining on the shrinking list which are still releasing high-performance system memory for the DDR2 platform. OCZ recognizes that DDR2 has performance potential left in it, and offers the 1150MHz PC2-9200 2GB Reaper HPC OCZ2RPR11502GK DDR2 RAM Kit to Benchmark Reviews for testing.

Logitech z-5300e THX-Certified 5.1 Speakers Review
OCModShop posted a review on the Logitech z-5300e THX-Certified 5.1 Speakers

Personal Computers are no longer the beige office machines of yesteryear: they are serious entertainment appliances capable of delivering a great home theater or gaming experience. Those serious about the sound their PC produces will certainly have a high-quality sound card and great set of speakers. While a separate amp and speaker separates may be overkill for the average gamer (particularly in the price department), there are several speaker sets that can deliver a satisfying soundscape.

One product vying for your home entertainment dollars is Logitech, who have been developing quality PC accessories for years. Their previous generations of computer speakers have won many awards, and one of their most proven sets is the Z-5300e THX Certified 5.1 Speaker System. THX certification means that you're not just getting Logitech's word on it, but also George Lucas' seal-of-approval that these speakers deliver.

Zalman CNPS8700 LED INTEL/AMD CPU Cooler Review
Tweaknews.net posted Zalman CNPS8700 LED INTEL/AMD CPU Cooler Review

Zalman went back to their roots, so to speak, and came up with a very nice product in the CNPS8700 LED CPU cooler. While the performance isn't earth shattering, it's plenty good enough for most users, better and quieter than the OEM Intel unit, and still allows some overclocking headroom. In addition it is all packed into a relatively compact package that will appeal to users with limited case room and also for HTPC/SFF enthusiasts.

Thermaltake DuOrb VGA Cooler Review
XtremeComputing posted a review on the Thermaltake DuOrb VGA Cooler

With ambient temperature somewhere around 26c on both days that we took results from, you can clearly see the Thermaltake clearly exceeds the stock cooler, at first I was worried when I saw the idle temps were almost identical, but under load well a whole 19c difference on the 8800GTX and in my eyes that makes this pretty special.

XFX GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB Fatal1ty video card Review
Elite Bastards posted XFX GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB Fatal1ty video card review

Well, I think we've talked up the Fatal1ty's clock speed boosts enough, now it's time to actually reveal them. Compared to the aforementioned stock core clock speed of a GeForce 8800 GTS board of 500MHz, XFX's offering sees a 150MHz increase, giving it a final core clock of 650MHz. This also translates into a 400MHz change in the Stream Processors' clock speed, up to 1.6GHz from 1.2GHz on a reference part. Finally, memory clocks haven't been skimped on either, with a 200MHz increase from 800MHz to 1GHz (2GHz effective). Some tasty improvements there, I'm sure you'll agree.
