Sapphire Toxic Radeon HD4850 Videocard Review
Tweaknews.net posted a review on the Sapphire Toxic Radeon HD4850 Videocard

Overall, Sapphire's attempt to make an already fast card pack even more punch while keeping it cool and quiet can easily be summed to be a success. Sapphire's TOXIC HD4850 version blends a good amount of looking cool while running remarkably cool as well.

Swiftech MCP655 (adjustable) Pump Review
Bjorn3D looks at the Swiftech MCP655 (adjustable) Pump.

Central Processing Units tend to run really hot when you're overclocking. There are some really good air cooling solutions available out there, but for some of us it's just not good enough. Wanting to squeeze every last drop of performance out of a piece of equipment drives us. Running thermoelectric solutions leads to really exhaustive moisture prevention control methods that most of us just don't want to deal with. A viable alternative to air cooling and thermoelectric cooling is water cooling.

Water cooling is a little more expensive than air cooling, but with that extra expense comes extra performance. Having tested a lot of 'out of the box' solutions, we've never found an out of the box solution that can match the performance of a 'Do it Yourself' water cooling setup. One of the most critical components of water cooling is the pump. Too small of a pump and the coolant moves too slowly and heat builds up. Too large a pump and the water moves too fast and the radiator doesn't get a chance to remove the heat. So how do you find a pump that fits your needs without going through a stack of pumps?

Swiftech solves that dilemma with the MCP655 12v adjustable pump. Capable of blasting 1200 L/hr through your cooling system, you have the capability to scale that down to meet your specific needs.

If you are not familiar with the brand name Ikonik, fear not. You will find yourself in the majority. Ikonik is a relatively new company that is gearing a product line and aiming at the enthusiast. While not a huge market segment, we are a very vocal one and our opinions often filter to the more mainstream buying channels.

Another feature of the Ikonik Zaria A20 is an option called SIM, or System Intelligent Management. This is a device that is both hardware and software based, and is designed to help you monitor the system to make certain that everything is working as it should be.

Nvidia GPUs support DX10.1 features in Far Cry 2
bit-tech has learned that Nvidia GPUs will support the DirectX 10.1 features implemented into Far Cry 2 via an extension to DirectX 10 that's supported in all of Nvidia's DirectX 10 hardware.

The Ubisoft team wanted to enhance the anti-aliasing through the reading of the multisampled depth Z-buffers, explained Vincent Greco, Worldwide Production Technical Coordinator at Ubisoft. "This feature was enabled by either using DX10.1 or using a DX10.0 extension supported by Nvidia DirectX 10 GPUs."

All of Nvidia's DirectX 10 GPUs support a superset of DX10, but don't fully support all of DirectX 10.1's requirements so Nvidia cannot claim compliance with DX10.1.

These drives are rubberized for ruggedness and extremely small in size to be able to take them, and your data of course, anywhere with you. The Flash Voyager Mini is a cap-less drive giving it bonus points in my book as I just hate it when I lose the caps, the Voyager Mini is a retractable style drive that's easy to use and looks great.

22 inch Wide TFT Roundup
InsideHW.com has posted roundup for eleven 22-inch Wide TFT monitors (Asus, BenQ, Samsung, LG.)

For every period on time there is optimal monitor (screen) size. Nowadays, smaller monitor isn't cheap enough and isn't worth of savings while the bigger one still doesn't justify the difference in price. The thing is that lately, mid range monitors and even from low range, become very quality pieces of hardware. And if you pick by random any of them, there are small odds that you'll chose "piece of junk". As result of these changes on local and global market it is actually very favorable state for nowadays buyers. Now you can have bigger monitor on the table with more than acceptable price especially if you buy it on sales. So, according to all that, wide monitor with 22-inch diagonal is the best buy at the moment. Keeping that fact in mind, we gathered eleven models that can be classified as cheaper and we did comparison test.

HIS Radeon HD 4830 512MB video card review
Elite Bastards posted HIS Radeon HD 4830 512MB video card review

RV770 certainly packs plenty into that transistor count, with a full core sporting a massive 800 Stream Processors to handle and process vertex, pixel and geometry shader data, arranged as arrays of sixteen units (or SIMD cores), of which there are ten. The cut-down version of RV770 used in the Radeon HD 4830 has two of these SIMD cores disabled, giving a total of 640 Stream Processors for it to play with, together with eight dedicated texturing units.

The Radeon HD 4830 features that cut-down RV770 core we mentioned with a couple of SIMD cores disabled, as well as clock speeds lower than the higher priced Radeon HD 4850, which sees it utilising a GPU core clock of 575MHz, with the 512MB of GDDR3 memory on-board clocked at 900MHz (1800MHz effective).

Antec Micro Fusion 350 Review
OCC has published a new review on the Antec Micro Fusion 350

Overall I was pleased to work with this case. Hardware installation was straight forward, although a little time intensive. All temperatures were well within safe ranges, even on low fan speeds, which kept the case nearly inaudible up close. The look of the Antec Micro Fusion 350 would fit in well with any home theater, and the cooling capabilities along with reinforced top panel allow for it to be stacked with other devices. Vents located on the top panel allow the processor heat sink fan to suck in fresh air, while the bottom panel helps cool the motherboard. The remote control is small, simple, and works well even across the room. Also, the front panel LCD display will scroll news gathered online while it is not being used for media purposes, and will display the name of any media being used - movie names, music titles, even the time and date. It is very nice to have an included remote, as it would be a hassle to purchase one separately.

G.Skill FS-25S2-64GB 2.5" Solid State Disk Drive Review
TweakTown posted a review on the G.Skill FS-25S2-64GB 2.5" Solid State Disk Drive

.Skill is known for their high performance enthusiast memory, but like many "memory" companies, when RAM became unprofitable they looked to broaden their product lines. One area that many of these companies made a straight line for was expanding their flash memory products. This eventually led to solid state drives and ultimately caused the price of these drives to start to fall rapidly.

Today we are looking at the G.Skill 64GB SLC drive. The drive is a rebadged Samsung drive like the four we reviewed in various levels of RAID back in June for DVNation.com. The difference between then and now is that the G.Skill 64GB drive cost just a little more than the 32GB model did when that article was written.

Cooler Master V8 CPU Cooler Review
Virtual-Hideout posted Cooler Master V8 CPU Cooler Review

Like many of the other companies finding reviews on our pages lately, Cooler master's claims to fame come from eternally supporting the enthusiast edge of the industry. Though their start was found in cooling products, Cooler Master went on to begin producing branded fans, heatsinks, power supplies, and even liquid cooling systems. In that vein, the V8 is more or less a rectification to this departure - a step by Cooler Master to return themselves into the realm of performance cooling. With the capacity to blow away almost 180w of heat, the V8 has the potential to slide Cooler Master back up into the echelons of performance cooling, though it may well have a few hindrances along the way. With that said, it's time to see what this latest offering can do.

Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Speakers for iPod Review
TheTechLounge posted a review on the Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Speakers for iPod

B&W has turned high-fidelity audio into an art over the last 40 years, creating what many regard as the best speakers money can buy. Abbey Road Studios, one of the most famous audio production venues in the world, has used 800-series B&W speakers as monitors in all of their control rooms since early on in the 80's. Some of the greatest music artists in the world have mixed their albums through these speakers. With the Zeppelin, B&W has made its first foray into iPod territory. Its pedigree alone should raise some enthusiastic eyebrows, but we're going to take a look and a listen to see if the Zeppelin lives up to the expectations laid before it.

Bjorn3d.com tests the HIS HD 4830
Bjorn3d.com has released a new review of a card using the new AMD GPU HD4830.

AMD has had a very good year when it comes to graphics cards. The HD4000-series has proved to be competitive in basically every segment and the best proof for this is the fact that it has forced NVidia to rethink their pricing-structure and lower prices to meet the competition.

If we look at the various models we however notice a small gap in the line-up. The gap obviously is between the HD4670 and the HD 4850. Either you spend around $80 or take a steep step up to $150 and above. The GPU that we are going to talk about today is aimed to fill that gap and give users an opportunity to get more speed while still not having to pay for the HD 4850. The GPU is of course the HD 4830 and the RSSP is $100 - $150.

HIS was kind enough to send over their newest card, the HIS HD 4830 Fan (Full HD 1080p) HDMI and it is that card we will review at the same time as we present the HD 4830.
