Antec Skeleton Case Review
Bjorn3D takes a look at the Antec Skeleton Case.

Every once and awhile there is a product that comes along that is so unique and original that people greet it first with shock, then with curiosity, and finally love. I believe that the Antec Skeleton case happens to be one of those products. Think of the Skeleton as the bare bones of a case. It has all of the required mounting holes and standoffs, all of the standard features that any other modern case would have; it is just missing its skin. With no side panels on this case, installing components is a breeze. Read along to see how the bones of Antec's newest case hold up when installing a system.

Verbatim TuneBoard Speaker Keyboard Review
OCModShop posted Verbatim TuneBoard Speaker Keyboard Review

I love music. I have more music than I know what to do with. Everything from Ludacris to Dean Martin graces the hard drive of my iPod and the shelves of my CD rack. I listen to music when I write and when Im cleaning. I even take my MP3 player to work when I can get away with it. But being able to play music from a keyboard? A keyboard with built-in speakers and music controls that totally negate the need for bulky desktop speakers? Im all for that. In fact, I find that freaking awesome.

Verbatim has reached out and touched us once again by playing the heart strings of the media-loving consumer at large. The Verbatim TuneBoard seems like a music lovers dream. But dont take my word for it. Well, actually, please do take my word for it. This thing is pretty damned cool looking. But will that be good enough to make it to the final round? This is the world of technology, folks. Beauty gets you nowhere unless you have the marble sack to get the job done. So today I am going to take this keyboard apart, screw by screw and solder joint by chip to make sure that the quality is perfect. Verbatim, I hope you wore clean underwear today, because you are about to get pantsed.

Scythe Kaze-Maru 140mm Case Fans Review
PCShopTalk posted a review on the Scythe Kaze-Maru 140mm Case Fans

These are standard black fans, so if you're looking for 'bling' you'll have to look somewhere else. What you do get is a huge amount of fan that you can spin at a slower, more quiet speeds to get the same amount of air-movement that you would out of a smaller fan. Although 120mm mounts can be found, 140mm openings are rare. Trimming the hole larger might be required in some cases. A 4-pin adapter is nice, but I would rather of had an extension cable instead. The cables were a foot shorter then the fans they replaced. Despite their almost identical looks, these three fans are completely different units. And so I'll comment on each on individually.

Antec TruePower Quattro TPQ 850W Review
Tech-Reviews.co.uk published a review on the Antec TruePower Quattro TPQ 850W

One often overlooked component when building the ultimate gaming computer is the power supply. Reasoning for this is because the core components, CPU, RAM and Graphics Card are usually decided first leaving little or no budget for the PSU. In the past, a low-end power unit was normally fine; however with the newer and more power-hungry components which entail many of our systems, a beefier and more stable PSU is a must-have in achieving the ultimate stable gaming machine.

AMD Athlon 7750 Black Edition and Asus M3A78-T Review
DriverHeaven posted AMD Athlon 7750 Black Edition and Asus M3A78-T Review

We have to admit to being a little surprised a few weeks ago when AMD emailed us to say our review sample of the new high-end Athlon CPU was on its way. 2006 was the last time we had such an email and since then the Phenom line of processors has been AMDs focus, with a limited number of Sempron models released into the budget marketplace. The model we are testing today is the 7750 Black Edition, quite a jump from the current highest model, the 6400+.

AMD's Athlon X2 7750 and 7550 processors
bit-tech published a review of AMD's Athlon X2 7750 and 7550 processors

For enthusiasts, AMD has finally done the best it can with its 65nm K10 core although we have to say it's too little too late as a K10 dual core would have been competitive 12 months ago. Even then though, the lack of overclocking headroom and higher power consumption would still turn today's cost concious power users towards Intel's 45nm alternatives. We'll delve in platform value and how overclocking affects the performance results later in the week.

While the Athlon X2 7700 series CPUs may not twist the nipples of our readers quite so much, for the general public who just want a cheap upgrade with great, well rounded performance, they're a decent heart to a great platform when combined with a 780G board and an ATI Radeon HD 4800 graphics card. What's more, the new Athlon X2 7750 Black Edition and 7550 CPUs appear to offer better price to performance over Intel's competitive offerings and they're certainly worth buying over the older K8 Athlon X2s.

AMD Athlon X2 7750 BE 2.7GHz CPU Phenom goes Dual-Core
TweakTown posted their review on the AMD Athlon X2 7750 BE 2.7GHz CPU

From the CPU-Z screenshot you can see that that design is based around a 64nm process codenamed Kuma. Kuma is actually a cut down version of the AMD Phenom processors that are currently out. First off it’s limited to a dual-core offering, which is kind of evident by the X2 part in the name.

Sharing the lower clocked Phenom’s specs the 7750 uses a 1.8GHz HT link, which also limits the integrated Northbridge’s frequency to 1.8GHz. Thanks to the K10 architecture the new Athlon gets official HT3.0 specs allowing it to communicate with the external Northbridge at higher speeds and K8 based Athlon’s cache memory has also changed thanks to the K10 architecture improvements. First off the L2 cache has been dropped to 512K per core (1MB total CPU L2 cache) however a 2MB shared L3 cache has been used – it is the same size that all Phenom CPU’s share giving it extra memory storage on the CPU.

AMD Athlon X2 7750 Review
OCC has published a new review on the AMD Athlon X2 7750

Being a "Black Edition" processor gives you a little more flexibility with overclocking because of the unlocked multiplier. To begin I started by raising the multiplier 1x at a time until the system became unstable. I was able to boot at 16x but I could not complete a benchmark, so I backed the multiplier down a half to 15.5x and I was able to complete several test benchmarks with no problem. Next I raised the bus speed 5MHz at a time, but once I tried 210MHz there was no joy. I backed off slowly, 1MHz at a time until I was able to boot at 205Mhz. During the overclocking session I did have to raise the CPU voltage to 1.5v, however CPU-Z reported it as 1.520v. So for the overclocking results we will be running at 3.177GHz (205Mhz x 15.5) at 1.5 volts.

AMD Athlon X2 7750 BE Review
The Guru of 3D posted AMD Athlon X2 7750 BE review

Today we have a test on the Athlon X2 7750 Black Edition processor. The product we are reviewing today is exactly that. AMD developed a new K10 dual-core processor based on the TLB bug-free (B3) revision, under the codename KUMA.

And quite frankly... it's a really interesting product, as for less than 79 USD/EUR you get to have quite a nice performing product with fairly nice clock frequencies. Yeah... 79 USD.

ECS G45T-M2 Motherboard Review
Virtual-Hideout takes a look at the ECS G45T-M2 Motherboard

Perhaps as a byproduct of their strong OEM division, ECS has been producing a number of reasonably priced, fully featured, general-purpose Micro ATX motherboards. Though these boards lack advanced cooling, fantastic overclocking, or award winning aesthetic, they have always offered one consolation - a great value. Though the chipset that today's motherboard is based on - the G45 - isn't known for fantastic performance, it's feature sheet is fairly comprehensive, and considering the availability of several SATA ports, as well as HDMI, ECS may have just whipped up a nice little HTPC contender. With that in mind, let's take a look at what this board can do.
