Dan's Data has published another letters column
This time, there's stuff on DX9-capable video cards and whether they're worth buying yet, choosing a "C" P4, resuscitating _really_ old speakers, the endless quest for a cheap general purpose solid state drive, hot heat sinks on subwoofers, hardware-accessed serial ports, damn fool desks, underclocked Athlons, flashlight bulbs, the word "uber", and everybody's favourite - free energy!
