As with HP's VirtualSystem portfolio, vStart 200m is delivered from Dell as a pre-assembled rack complete with everything the customer needs to get started, including PowerEdge servers, EqualLogic SAN storage, and 10Gbit/s Ethernet PowerConnect switches.
On the software side, the starter kit includes Windows Server 2008 R2 DataCenter Edition, which offers unlimited virtualisation rights for rapid deployment of virtual machines, plus Dell's Advanced Infrastructure Management (AIM) software for control and automation over both physical and virtual machines.
