DFI Infinity NF UltraII-M2 Review

Posted by Philipp Esselbach on: 08/10/2006 06:33 AM [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]

PC Modding Malaysia has posted a review on the DFI Infinity NF UltraII-M2

The DFI Infinity NF UltraII-M2 motherboard is a really powerful motherboard. By reviewing this motherboard, we are starting to think that this is the most impressive socket AM2 motherboard we have tested and it was the easiest to work with. The motherboard layout was exceptional and the overclocked DDR2 modules benefited from the vertical-left DIMM slot position. In our overclocking book, the Infinity UltraII-M2 managed to hit an impressive 440HTT via BIOS and this was the highest HTT overclock we have seen on any AMD motherboard. For memory overclocking, this board easily boots in at DDR1000 and we were able to run our system stable up to DDR1110. With faster DDR2 modules surfacing soon, we believe this motherboard will easily do beyond DDR1200.

Thanks to the additional PCI-E graphics slot onboard, we successfully ran SLI on the Infinity NF UltraII-M2 by doing a simple hardmod or softmod. Although hardmodding required some technical skills, anyone can softmod the Infinity NF UltraII-M2 to run SLI by simply downloading the modded ForceWare graphics driver. With online retail price going below $100, there's no better overclocking motherboard than the UltraII-M2.
