In 1963, Chevrolet introduced their new model of America's greatest sports car. Labeled the Stingray, it was sold in a limited number of fairly basic colors. Of those colors, none were as sleek and shining as Tuxedo Black. Thus, manufacturers around the world resurrected the somewhat out of style jet black cars of the earlier 1900's.
