And there came a motherboard that would run either PC133 or DDR SDRAM for the Pentium 4: the ECS P4IBASD. This is a very unique motherboard in the sense that it's the only current motherboard that has memory slots for both types of memory. The catch here is that PC133 and DDR SDRAM cannot run at the same time. Only one type of memory at a time. Pretty smart move for ECS. First, they help some people who still have PC133 but want to run a Pentium 4. Lastly, they also allow some upgradeability because it also supports DDR SDRAM.
