Elite Bastards preview: Windows Vista Beta 1

As for what Vista has in store when it hits retail outlets, I think it's going to be a big success. I'm not a programmer or somebody who wants to get every little point out of 3DMark (well, not anymore at least), or somebody who feels uncomfortable knowing that DRM and other intrusive technologies are being implemented in Vista. I consider myself just a heavy user of computers, I don't really fit into the gamer category anymore, and Vista is looking fine to me so far. You have to remember that most of the computer users in the world aren't nerds, programmers, gamers, admins and such, so they aren't interested in how much Windows takes up resources, how a program works, or whatever else is happening on the background. They want a pretty and easy to use operating system and it looks like Vista is going to hit the spot.
