TCMagazine has posted a new Forceware Comparison online.
Unfortunately, picking the right set of drivers can be a daunting adventure. There is a lot of choice out there, all of it legit according to its own provider. Manufacturer’s drivers are always recommended, but which ones should you pick? The card maker’s, or the chipset maker’s? Which version? The latest release, or the last point release? There are ‘performance drivers’, which have been hacked and optimized by various third parties to improve performance in some areas, but that can be detrimental to others, and there finally is the endless stem of leaked drivers, 90% of which are fakes produced by script kiddies who want to score big on the ‘scene’. And as you stand there, trying to make your mind up on which set of drivers fits you best, that sexy neighbour is growing more and more fond of the guy with the big ATI card a decisive attitude when it comes to drivers.
