Last week saw the launch of a new G80-based part at an even lower price point, utilising the same specifications as the already familiar GeForce 8800 GTS, albeit with just 320MB of on-board memory compared to the 640MB seen on a 'full' board. Bringing NVIDIA's flagship DirectX 10 architecture closer to the masses is undoubtedly a good thing, but just what performance difference will halving the frame buffer make?
