1. Why NVIDIA decreases the memory clock of GeForce3 from 526MHz to 460MHz?
The SDRAM that GeForce3 applied is 3.8ns, which is rated at 263MHz DDR (526MHz). However, the GeForce3 is rated at a 460MHz memory clock. According to NVIDIA, this is because they could get the best overall balance of performance and yield on GeForce3 boards by decreasing the memory clock. To consumers, this means that the memory overclocking for GeForce3 boards should be possible.
