Blue Yeti Nano Review

Looking solely at the Yeti Nano now and it has some impressive attributes of its own, one such feature is the inclusion of a zero-latency 3.5mm port for monitoring your audio in real time. It also boasts an impressively wide frequency range pickup of between 20Hz to 20kHz as well as dual condenser capsules, a multifunctional volume control dial and an impressive SPL of 120dB.

Cooler Master Cosmos C700M Review

Buyers are too often forced to compromise when choosing a new chassis, but adages such as "you can't have everything" aren't necessarily the case when it comes to the Cooler Master Cosmos C700M. In fact, not only does this chassis have just about everything a person could want in a full tower chassis, it also offers special features that allow the end user to reconfigure the case at a later date for a completely new look. As one might expect, a premium chassis such as this comes at a price. The Cooler Master Cosmos retails for $440.

We are the first to get our hands on these engineering samples - Briony did a live unboxing! QSAN XCubeNAS XN5008T NAS Server Review

Although severely hindered by both its lack of available apps and limited global availability the brand new XCubeNAS XN5008T NAS Server doesn't only look great (winner of the Japanese Good Design Award) but it offers impressive performance levels especially 10GbE ones.

Although originally NAS servers were used just for file sharing (centralized storage) through the years they've assumed several other roles so currently people also use them to back up their files and/or entire systems, receive/send emails, download files, host web pages, archive and stream media, record video from IP cameras, platform deployment and much more. As a matter of fact thanks to the large number of available applications by some of the leading manufacturers the vast majority of all the NAS servers we've tested to date has been aimed towards both home and small/large office use. However although many people ask more from a NAS server there are always those who may only ask for the basics but they expect excellence. QSAN takes pride in catering to the needs of such users/consumers and today we're testing their mid/high-end XCubeNAS XN5008T SMB model.

QSAN Technology, leading storage technology designer and manufacturer, was founded in July 2004. Building on our vast experience in the industry, QSAN strives to build enterprise class storage systems that pride ourselves with outstanding performance, secure data protection and comprehensive data management. QSAN endeavors to provide the industry with high quality data storage systems that are simple, secure, scalable and reliable.

Rivet Networks Killer Wireless-AC 1550 Gaming WiFi Network Adapter Review

Sick of your Wi-Fi performance? Is this the answer? In the early days of WiFi, routers often came with their own adapters to take maximum advantage of proprietary performance or security enhancements. But for at least a decade, since Intel’s Centrino campaign, we have made do with whatever WiFi came in our notebooks, which is often of variable specification. Rivet Networks’ Killer range, however, has forged a niche for itself where gamers can obtain better performance from products incorporating its networking technology. Latest in this line is the Wireless-AC 1550.

Synology DS1618+ Six-Bay NAS Review

Every year, spring and fall Synology launches new products into their ecosystem. Earlier in the year, the DS1618+ was launched that takes up the gap between the 1517+ from last fall and the DS1817+.

This new NAS system is a six-bay platform, designed on the latest Intel Atom architecture. The C3538 at the heart operates at 2.1GHz across four cores, 4GB of DDR4 is included in the SO-DIMM form factor but is expandable to 32GB. This unit does and is capable of taking advantage of Synology Expansion units, giving a total drive capacity of 6 for 72TB of Raw capacity internally and 10 more externally with totaling 192TB with expansion. Connectivity of this platform is spread across four gigabit LAN ports with link aggregation and failover support. In addition, we find three USB 3.0 ports and two eSATA ports for expansion chassis. Taking things further, the DS1618+ has a single PCIe 3.0 x8 slot for add-in cards, M2D17 from Synology offers dual m.2 SATA SSD adapter for cache and M2D18 is a dual m.2 SATA/NVMe adapter, optionally you can use the slot for 10Gbe networking as well.

The Maestros Review - a Symphony of Steampunk & Alchemical Battle

What if we could evolve the RTS platform a bid, harmonize the melody with just the right notes to enliven the old tunes in such a way it might catch your attention again? Maybe it can be done. And maybe a small indie development team like Systence Games is just the one to do it and The Maestros is just the instrument to do it with.

Toshiba Exceria Pro N502 SD Card Review

The Exceria Pro N502 has easily got to the first place in terms of performance versus the previously tested cards; the latest UHS-II standard does make possible up to 8K video recording and the safe operating conditions vary from -20 to 85 degrees Celsius (without condensation). As we have seen with other Toshiba products, the N502 is x-ray proof, so you do not have to worry about scans at the airport security checkpoints.
