Enter the Game Surround Fortissimo II, a $60USD card on retail shelves and running in the mid $40 range on-line. Creative has it's Audigy line-up, Philips has the equally formidible Seismic Edge card, and Turtle Beach has the older, but still semi-popular Santa Cruz. I have the original Guillemot Maxi Sound Fortissimo, and it was an awesome alternative to Creative's Live! series back in the day, all for half the cost. The Fortissimo II is a loaded card and for $40 less than the standard retail Audigy and Siesmic Edge cards.Read more
