BIOS Magazine published a review on the HHB FlashMic DRM85, a high-quality microphone and recorder in a single system.
The FlashMic is one of the most important products that HHB has ever developed. For years we have been required to choose from a collection of consumer devices, or professional recorders using separate microphones. For the very first time, the FlashMic combines a high-quality microphone and recorder in a single, familiar, easy to use system that stores the audio in easily transferable, industry-standard formats - and with no removable media to worry about! The audio quality of the FlashMic is very good - perhaps not quite what it would be with the same capsule combined with a good studio mic pre-amp, but nonetheless easily up to any radio broadcast or podcast application. If you've got the budget and want to make professional-sounding recordings either in your office or on the road, you really can't do much better than the FlashMic.
