Tech Vault has reviewed the Hitachi SATA II 500 GIG Hard Drive
Hard drives are increasing in size practically every second week it seems. What used to be considered “enormous” is now found in the average entry level computer. With the explosion of digital media in our society today people are no longer thinking in terms Gigabytes, but rather Terabytes.
Motherboard manufacturers are also making it a lot easier with the addition of onboard SATA II controllers and such exciting additions as RAID 5 and even RAID 10 in some cases.
One such drive (to tantalize you taste buds) is Hitachi’s new SATA II 500 GIG monster. Not only does it offer 500 Gigabytes, but also SATA II - 3.0 Gb/s speeds and a 16MB buffer.
