Since power supplies get warm (some get too warm for comfort), we sought to lower the temperatures of our Seasonic 400W PSU. Looking at the fan, we noticed the huge stamped metal fan grille so common on many power supplies. Removing this grille and replacing it with a wire grille would definitely improve airflow, transferring more heat in the process. Since we have to take the fan out anyway, why not install a color LED fan to give it some pizzazz? Armed with a supply of cut-off wheels and our Dremel, we started planning the attack.
