Microsoft has released an update for HPC Pack 2008 R2 SP4 to fixes an issue where a failed node prep task would result in the entire job being cancelled and marked 'failed.'
This update fixes an issue where a failed node prep task would result in all pending tasks being cancelled and the job being marked as 'failed.' After applying this update, if a node preparation tasks fails that node will be excluded from the job, and pending tasks will be scheduled to the remaining nodes.
Supported operating systems: Windows HPC Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008 R2
