OC Workbench has posted an article about the IBM Hard Disk Drive Warranty Process.
IBM Storage Division has been a major player in the storage industry, and thus a group of royal supporters. In the Singapore market, especially the OEM (aka DIY) sector, most of us are aware of the typical warranty process.
Let me just briefly touch on the warranty process adopted by most of the vendors in Singapore. For any warranty claim to be processed, the end-user will have to bring along the defective product along with its original receipt as proof of purchase to the respective point of purchase. These vendors will consolidate the defective products and send them back to their source, the distributors.
