During game play, sound reproduction was consistently excellent with little or no distortion even at the highest settings. Surprisingly, the microphone turned out to be better than I had imagined. As I am normally used to a boom mic attached to a headset, I have found that the detached microphone performs as well if not better than my Altec Lansing's. The headphones themselves are very comfortable even during long gaming sessions. The only drawback to this headset is the lack of active noise cancellation.
