Hardcoreware posted Intel Core i7 and Core i5 "Lynnfield" CPU Review
After numerous setbacks, we are finally ready to publish our review of Intel's recently-launched Lynnfield platform, including Core i7 870 and Core i5 750 processors.
We have put together an entire new benchmark configuration starting with this review, built around Windows 7 64-bit and the latest drivers, software, and video games.
What's important today though, is the processors. It's clear that the original Core i7 was something of a stop-gap solution to introduce Nehalem. Now that Core 2 can no longer compete with AMD, Intel is ready to launch their native desktop version of Nehalem, codenamed Lynnfield.
