While the Northwood version of the 3.4 GHz Pentium 4 has been available for some time now, Intel is launching the Prescott version tonight.
There is nothing new to report besides an increase in clock speed. You might think that the scorching hot Prescott will now be hotter than ever, but you'd be surprized... We put the new P4's up against the entire Hyper-Threading lineup, and include AMD's Athlon64 3400+ to see how that 'performance rating' stacks up now...
