With recent events focusing the industry on dual execution core solutions for the consumer market, many enthusiasts have quickly forgotten about single execution core solutions which are widely available and not likely to disappear in a hurry. When Intel launched the i945 chipset and the Pentium D 820 dual-core CPU, they also released their newest 600 series single-core processor, the Pentium 4 670. This processor runs at a blazing fast 3.8GHz and sports all of the features of its predecessors. While many people think that a dual-core processor will own any of its single core cousins, that may not necessarily be the case.
