Intel's 1066MHz FSB - D925XECV2 and P4EE 3.46GHz Review

Beyond3D takes a look at Intel's latest platform update with the new 1066MHz FSB.
Its often been the case that Intel have increased the CPU and system FSB in step with the memory speeds, for instance, when the 800MHz FSB was introduced it also came with a Dual Channel DDR400 memory interface. This trend was bucked a little with the introduction of the 925X chipset as although Intel kept the FSB at 800MHz they moved the RAM across to 533MHz DDR2. With the 925XE chipset this has been redressed by moving the FSB to 1066MHz, which puts it instep with the Dual Channel 533MHz DDR2 memory interface.
