Since the Geforce 2 GTS by Nvidia was introduced in May of 2000 many manufactures have adopted the Geforce 2 infrastructure, including Leadtek. Leadtek is a company that has been around since 1986 and provides not only quality graphics cards but also motherboards, add-on cards, and videoconferencing/surveillance solutions (They´re watching you). They began their company by manufacturing motherboards supporting the Intel 80286 CPU and also “copyrighted system BIOS which enhanced the motherboard to turbo speed” (Off the site). Also in 1986 Leadtek developed its first graphics card, based on the EGA standard. Since then they have been competitors in today’s fast paced computer industry.
