Finally, what we have been waiting for has arrived. A few months ago the first DVD+9 writers hit the market. What makes DVD+9 so special? DVD+9 allows for 8.5 GB of data to be stored on a single DVD as opposed to the old standard of 4.7 GB. For the user, this means larger backups, better quality movies, longer movies, and more portable storage. Thanks to Lite On, a big producer of optical drives, we are able to take a look at one of the first DVD+9 writers, model SOHW-832S.
