Logitech Z-5500 Digital 5.1 500W Speaker System Review

TheTechLounge has posted a review on the Logitech Z-5500 Digital 5.1 500W Speaker System
What, still using that cabinet speaker system? A receiver? Head units? How very 1979 of you. If you are like the rest of us and are pretty much using your computer to play movies, music, games, (oh yeah and to browse the internet and do actual work) then you most likely have a set of speakers buried somewhere on your desk. Some of you may not agree with me, but I believe the era of huge cabinet speakers and massive component receivers has gone the way of the dodo and disco.
In the 21st century it's all about space. A singular entertainment unit replete with sound and visuals contained within rapidly diminishing cubic feet. But to drive the stunning visuals of your space age micro theatre you need a solid foundation of sound. Enter the Logitech Z-5500 Digital. The upgraded and uprated evolution of Logitech's stunning Z-680 5.1 speaker system, these muthas promise to deliver total sound immersion (and if we're lucky, total deafness). No cabinets necessary. Oh yes.
