PCinsight has posted a review on the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer. This optical rodent is probably one of the best (of mice) out there.

The first thing you´ll notice about this mouse isn´t the optical sensor, but the overall design of it. Rather than the plain white, two button-plus-wheel design used by other manufacturers, the Intellimouse Explorer has a nice silver-colored finish with a grand total of five buttons (including the wheel). These buttons are all fully programmable via the Intellipoint drivers as we´ll see later. In addition, when plugged into a computer, the bottom of the mouse emits a bright red glow. A tail-light on a mouse may not seem too important, but then again, neither does transluscent colors on an iMac (and look how well THAT has sold. :-):
