Microsoft said on Monday that it has shipped beta 3 of the next-generation Windows 2000 server, Windows.Net.

Microsoft also unveiled a Web service for the financial industry; and demonstrated the Tablet PC, a PC about the size of a very thick clipboard, with a detachable keyboard, which takes input by users writing on the screen.
