Microsoft to launch public IPv6 beta for Windows 2000

Microsoft will publish a beta version of its Internet Protocol version 6.0 (IPv6) for Windows NT and Windows 2000, due to "external interest" in the formerly internal project.
Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft´s IPv6 is for use in what the company called research, educational and testing purposes, while the Windows networking group continues its work on a product-quality implementation.
