MICROSOFT ANNOUNCED MONDAY upgrades to two of the software products for small and midsize businesses it picked up through its July acquisition of developer Navision Software A/S.

Version 3.0 of Navision's Axapta ERP (enterprise resource planning) software adds a new Enterprise Portal module to the suite. The portal technology is intended to let businesses connect more easily with partners, customers and employees, offering information repositories, discussion forums, and data exchange features.
