Back on May 10, 2001, Microsoft announced plans to change its licensing programs. They used words like enhancement, simplification, flexibility, convenient and less expensive. These words work fine for the sixty percent of their corporate and OEM client base. But, the other forty percent of the home and small business users are going to suffer. Microsoft has indirectly hidden these new changes to the general consumer under their Volume Licensing Programs.
