Mobility Radeon X700 Review

Beyond3D has taken a look at the performance of ATI's latest mobile graphics chip Mobility Radeon X700
Taking on the mid-range mobile sector, the Mobility Radeon X700 is one such example where notebook and desktop models have the same graphics processor - the RV410. This chip has all the functions and features of the model that spawned it (R423) but its capabilities are reduced by having only 2 pixel quads (8 pipelines) and a 128-bit memory bus. Whilst Mobility Radeon X700's specifications partially meet those of last years high end desktop replacement systems the X700 is being targeted towards mid-range down to thin-and-light solutions.
