Digital Silence has posted a news story on the new multi-channel mp3 surround format
Thomson today announced the mp3 format, that we all know and love, is going multi-channel. This technology will enable 5.1 channels surround-quality sound for a broad spectrum of applications including web-based music distribution, broadcasting systems, PC-related audiovisual or gaming applications, consumer electronics and even automotive systems.
