When it comes to graphics card drivers, NVIDIA produces some of the best drivers in the business. For most end users, graphics drivers are rarely updated until problems are experienced. For enthusiasts, drivers are constantly updated with nearly every new release. The reasoning for driver updates is usually new features or bug fixes. Every now and then a manufacturer makes a big deal about a new driver release. This is usually because the drivers incorporate new features that users have been requesting.
ATI hyped their Catalyst 3.8 drivers, which turned out to be a disappointment. Now is NVIDIA’s turn to hype their newest driver release which has been appropriately named Forceware Release 55.
