But then since the price is a lot cheaper who cares.

The Nvidia GeForce 6600 graphics card uses the chip NV43 which is made using 0.11micron technology and which has similar architecture to the earlier GeForce 6800 graphics cards. This gives it all the 3D features of the GeForce 6800 with DirectX 9.0c or Shader Model 3.0.
