NVIDIA SLI GeForce 6600GT performance @ Elite Bastards

Elite Bastards takes a look at the performance of a GeForce 6600GT-based SLI setup over using a single 6600GT board.
It has to be said, that when it comes to the crunch SLI has proven itself to be admirable in the efficiency stakes, something that ATI's soon to be released competing CrossFire solution will do well to match. Of course, much of the benefits of SLI depend on the game titles in question, and there do seem to be some oddities (Need For Speed: Underground 2 most notably), but overall the benefits of using two 6600GT boards in truly GPU intensive situations cannot be denied - A simple look at the more graphically complex titles such as Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and The Chronicles of Riddick is evidence aplenty of that.
