Patriot Viper 1600MHz Triple Channel Kit Review

Posted by Philipp Esselbach on: 04/09/2009 03:04 PM [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]

Clunk posted a review on the Patriot Viper 1600MHz Triple Channel Kit

The market is currently awash with 6GB memory kits for i7 - this is great news for the consumer as it helps to drive down the prices and adds to the overall choice, but with so much choice, things can get a little confusing, so today we are going to try and simplify things a little by taking a look at the Patriot Viper PVT36G1600LLK 1600MHz 6GB kit.

This particular Viper kit is the "Low Latency" version, featuring 3x2GB modules rated at 8-8-8-24. They are decked out in a quirky looking set of heat spreaders that are constructed from two separate pieces of painted copper alloy - more on these later.

The feature set looks great, so how will the Viper kit perform?...as ever, read on to find out...
