The market is currently awash with 6GB memory kits for i7 - this is great news for the consumer as it helps to drive down the prices and adds to the overall choice, but with so much choice, things can get a little confusing, so today we are going to try and simplify things a little by taking a look at the Patriot Viper PVT36G1600LLK 1600MHz 6GB kit.
This particular Viper kit is the "Low Latency" version, featuring 3x2GB modules rated at 8-8-8-24. They are decked out in a quirky looking set of heat spreaders that are constructed from two separate pieces of painted copper alloy - more on these later.
