Another PCMark04 article. Digital Silence has posted a short preview of Futuremark's new PCMark04 benchmarking software.
What is PCMark04? It is an application-based benchmark that uses portions of real applications instead of including very large applications or using specifically created code. It includes things like Grammer Checking, Image Processing, Web page rendering, Audio Conversion, Video en/decoding, Physics Calculation, 3D Graphics, File compression and decompression, File encryption and decryption, and Virus scanning.
